Course GoalThis interdisciplinary symposium will focus on the current evidence-basedpractice and research for the treatment of those with acquired brain injuryand spinal cord injury. It will focus on the neurosurgical and rehabilitativetreatment interventions showing current management strategies for thosepatients with acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury.Course Learning Objectives1. The participant will be able to state how neurosurgical interventions affectfunctional recovery.2. The participant will be able to identify issues associated with living with adisability.3. The participant will list different psychosocial hurdles that affectindividuals in the community setting post acquired brain and spinal cordinjuries .4. The participant will identify complementary interventions utilized in thetreatment of acquired brain and spinal cord injury.Course Completion Requirements1. To obtain CEUs from this symposium, you must login and logout and be inattendance throughout the agenda to receive full CEUs. SLP, PT, and OTare not eligible for partial credit and must attend the course in its entiretyto receive CEUs.2.
