Atlantic Technical College is committed to teaching theskills needed for the careers our students want. We areproud to stand behind our graduates and the educationthey receive. To demonstrate our support, we offer theGuarantee for Success Plan. If a graduate/program completer of ATC does not pass theFLDOE approved, entry-level industry certification test in hisor her field of study, the student is invited to return foradditional training and/or test preparation at no additionalcost for up to 9 weeks.

Atlantic Technical College:Opportunities Certification Reimbursement Plan –Removing Financial Barriers! Atlantic Technical College does not want the cost of taking anationally-recognized certification or state licensure examholding back our students. If our students pass a FLDOE approved industry certification orlicensure exam aligned to their technical program of study, wewill help pay for it. The College will reimburse up to amaximum of 465 toward the cost of approved industrycertifications or licenses.

Designed to Address Needs of ELLs Reading a large textbook there will be a textbook but most of thematerials in the class will be designed in manageable sizes by the instructorand success coach Studying efficiently and effectively the BRIDGE class and INTEGRATEDsupport class will teach note-taking skills and studying strategies Taking Multiple Choice Tests Test taking strategies will be taught, as wellas “training” style quizzes that will help students build their confidencetesting in a nonthreatening environment Using Career Terminology the students will be heavily immersed in careerterminology and vocabulary so they become comfortable in the usage Communicating in the Workplace Verbal, Non-verbal, and writtencommunication will be integrated into the course

Student HighlightsGalina who was in the Business Bridge, is a studentfrom Russia who worked for 20 years as anaccountant in a service company. She recentlyretired, sold her property in Russia and immigrated tothe United States. Galina completed the BusinessBridge and is on target for completing theAccounting program during the summer term. Shewalked the June 2016 graduation. Galina is sitting forher QuickBooks certification exam later this monthand plans to work as an accountant.

Student HighlightsJunie, Marie & Wideline completed theESOL Bridge to Health and havegraduated from the Nursing AssistantProgram working towards their CNACertification. They plan to further theireducationinthePatientCareTechnician Program or LPN Programwhile working in the field.

Student HighlightsFlavio completed the ESOL CCR courseand transitioned directly to the NetworkSupport Services program and is now agraduate of his program. His CTE teacherhas said he is one of the best NetworkSupport Services students he has had.Flavio is preparing for his CompTia A Certification Test which he plans to takebefore the end of June and then plans tosit for his Network Industry Certification
