ICOI WINTER IMPLANT SYMPOSIUM IN PHOENIX, ARIZONAcontinuedADIA Program in Phoenix, Arizona - February 2019The beautiful JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa was host to the 2019 ICOI/ADIA WinterSymposium. Attendees were treated to an outstanding lineup of speakers and enjoyed the amenities of thisworld class resort. Continuing its tradition of providing the most up to date dental implant education for theentire auxiliary team, the ADIA podium did not disappoint.The meeting got off to a fantastic start on Thursday with the entire dental team listening to world class clinicians on the mainpodium. Following the main podium, attendees enjoyed wonderful appetizers at the cocktail reception and had a chance to catchup with friends and colleagues. The cocktail reception also showcased table clinics and poster presentations where ADIA memberMary Panizian from Canada presented a wonderfully informative poster entitled; “How to Avoid the Most Common Errors in DentalSurgery”. Ms. Panizian’s presentation completed her requirements for ADIA fellowship and it was a great pleasure to present her aFellowship Certificate in Phoenix.The Friday ADIA podium program featured a wonderful array of speakers and clinicians who shared their vast knowledge andexperience. The meeting continued Saturday with the highly acclaimed ADIA advanced certification courses. The certificationcourses are specifically designed for assistants, hygienists, practice managers and implant coordinators and provide attendees withan abundance of knowledge making them an integral and indispensable part of the dental implant team. The certification coursesare also the pathway to ADIA fellowship, the most advanced of ADIA credentials. The course was hosted at Coppel Dental Academy, and the educators were Drs. Isabel Gonzalez,Ana Adell and Antonio F. Coppel Garcia.The participants, who took the 8-hour course, were happy to understand many of the different procedures involved in implant dentistry.We are looking forward to the next course, which will take place in September.
