JIN KIMFull Arch Cases Made EasyFull arch rehabilitation utilizing dental implants are becoming morecommon, and patients are benefiting from this modality of treatmentincluding full-arch immediate load and function, also known as “all-on-x”approach. When and how these treatments can be recommended, theprotocols and the steps are often confusing and challenging. This presentation will provide the essential information needed to diagnose, treatment plan and carry out full arch dental implant rehabilitation, includingdigital planning, full guided surgery, and workflow. Participants will beprovided models to understand the components involved in this complexrestorative protocol.Course Objectives Understand the treatment planning principles in full-arch or complex cases Understand the treatment options when a patient is edentulous or isabout to become one Overdentures vs. fixed options Understand the occlusalprinciples in full-arch cases The protocol for conventionalimplant therapy will becompared with full digitalworkflow, includingcommunications with thedental laboratoryTo register go to:www.icoi.org/events

PRESYMPOSIUM COURSESContinuedFriday, November 5, 2021 8:00 am to 12:00 pmSponsored by:Fee: GratisAGD Code: 690Hands-on Course, Attendance is LimitedDR. HOMA ZADEHImmediate Implant Placement and Soft Tissue AugmentationImmediate implant placement into fresh extraction sites has many advantages, including reducing the number of procedures and shortening of thetreatment time. However, many complications have been associated with this procedure, because of the complexity of the techniques. The predictability of immediate implant placement can be significantlyincreased through clear understanding of the biology of socket healing, knowing which factors are critical for risk assessment, technical refinementof the protocol, bone and soft tissue grafting. This presentation and handson workshop will review the risk factors that influence the outcome and anevidence-based protocol for treatment. The guidelines for minimally invasive tooth extraction, 3D implant positioning, gaining access to surgical site through VISTA (vestibular incision subperiostealtunnel access), bone and soft tissue grafting will be provided.Course ObjectivesUpon completion of this course and hands-on workshop, participants will havegained knowledge and practical experience with: Risk assessment to identify patients and sites at greater risk of negativeoutcomes Technique of tooth extraction and 3D immediate implant placement The rationale and protocol for VISTA for access to surgical site Selection of appropriate material: allograft or xenograft bone material, connective tissue graft (palate and tuberosity), acellular dermis allograft,platelet-fibrin concentrates, and recombinant platelet derived growth factorTo register go to:www.icoi.org/events

PRESYMPOSIUM COURSESContinuedFriday, November 5, 2021 8:00 am to 12:00 pmSponsored by:Fee: GratisAGD Code: 690Hands-on Course, Attendance is LimitedDR. ISAAC TAWILHammerless Sinus TechniquesPosterior maxillary dental implant reconstruction for advanced alveolar ridgeatrophy has become possible through bone grafting procedures involving themaxillary sinus. This procedure involves augmentation of either the internal orexternal aspects of the sinus, or both. Bone grafting of the external aspect isperformed with guided bone regeneration, using allogenic, autogenous, cortical,or corticocancellous grafts, as well as growth factors such as PRF as onlays withimmediate or delayed implant placement. With the advent of new surgicaltechniques and equipment including Osseodensification, sinus augmentationhas become a predictable and efficient treatment. This presentation will focuson the internal (crestal) approach, utilizing sinus kits and Densah burs for ahammerless solution.Course ObjectivesUpon completion of this course, attendees will: Identify the basics of sinus anatomy Differentiate and determine cases requiring lateral vs. crestal approach Comprehend the tools best suited to an ideal crestal approachDIPLOMATE/MASTERSHIP/FELLOWSHIPAWARDS CEREMONYSaturday, November 6, 2021 5:00 pmThe Advanced Credentialing Awards ceremony will be held at the StudentUnion, Main Ballroom, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and willcelebrate our newest class of ICOI Diplomates, Masters, and Fellows.
