4Installation1.)Insert aluminum inserts into both gate uprights.2.)In the gate kit there will be two boards that are 41 8" wide,make sure these boards are your end boards and add leftand right u-channels onto the ends of these two gate boards.Make sure one u-channel is on the “groove” side of the boardand one u-channel is on the “tongue” side of the board.3.)Insert bottom rail into bottom upright route on one side only.4.)Insert boards starting from left and working right into bottomrail. Make sure boards with u-channels are on ends of thegate closest to the uprights.5.)For full privacy gates slide top rail over all boards and inserttop rail into upright route on same side as bottom rail.For lattice top, open picket top and closed picket top gatesslide middle rail over all boards and insert middle rail intoupright route on same side as bottom rail.6.)a.a.) For lattice top gates add side channels onto latticepanel. Insert lattice panel into the middle rail andplace top rail on top of lattice panel. Insert top railinto upright route on same side as bottom andmiddle rails.b.) For open picket top gates insert top rail into uprightroute on same side as bottom and middle rails. Insertpickets through top rail into middle rail.c.) For closed picket top gates insert pickets into middlerail. Starting on left side and working right, place toprail onto all pickets. Insert top rail into upright onsame side as bottom and middle rails.Slide second upright onto gates.b.c.

57.)Ensure gate is square. Measure from top left corner to bottom rightcorner and write down the measurement. Measure from top right cornerto bottom left corner and write down the measurement. Make suremeasurements are equal before installing screws into uprights.8.)a.) Once gates are square mark screw locations. Make sure to usemeasurements below to mark holes for screws.b.) Privacy gates:Make sure 4 screws are installed at the intersection of each rail andupright on both sides of gate according to screw placement below.A total of 32 screws will be installed.c.) Lattice top, open picket and closed picket top gates:On “Leg” side of aluminum “P” channel, install 2 screws into top railon both uprights. Install 4 screws into bottom and middle rails onboth uprights according to screw placements below.On back sides of uprights, hinges will be installed on one side of thetop and bottom rails. On upright opposite hinges, install 2 screwsinto top rail, 4 screws into middle and bottom rails. On uprighton same side as hinges, install 2 screws into middle rail. The hingescrews will be used for top and bottom rails. 69.)Using 1/8" drill bit pre-drill screw holes through uprights, aluminum inserts and rails. Install 1" screws into all pre-drilledscrew holes.10.) Install upright caps onto gate uprights.11.) Install hinges according to hingeinstructions for privacy gates; make sure hinges are centered between the screws. For all gates, make sure hinges areinstalled on upright on the opposite side of the “leg” of the aluminum insert.Orientation of “P” Aluminum and Hinge Assembly

7Limited Lifetime WarrantySubject to the conditions and limitations set out below, Barrette Outdoor Living warrants that for so long as theoriginal purchaser of a product manufactured by Barrette Outdoor Living owns that Boerboel Manual Hardware(the Product) it will be free from all defects due to faulty design, materials or workmanship.If a defect in the Product appears the purchaser must advise Barrette Outdoor Living within 14 days of discoveringthe defect and return the defective item, comprising either the Product or a defective component of the Product(the ltem), to Barrette Outdoor Living, freight prepaid, together with proof of purchase whereuponBarrette Outdoor Living will, at its option and cost, repair or replace the defective ltem with the same or an equivalentProduct or component. Transferable Limited Lifetime WarrantyWhat is covered: Barrette Outdoor Living warrants vinyl and aluminum products to include; vinyl and aluminum fence,vinyl and aluminum railing and plastic lattice against defects or workmanship for as long as you own your home.Barrette Outdoor Living will at its option replace the product in question with new product of the same or equivalent valueat no charge. Barrette Outdoor Living warrants these products against peeling, flaking, splintering, corrosion, rusting orabnormal discoloration under normal use. This warranty extends to the original purchaser or transferee as specified hereinon the products noted above. Separate and distinct warranties for hardware and other products are not covered underthis warranty.What this warranty does not cover: This limited warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, unreasonableuse, neglect, alteration, improper service, improper installation, acts of God or any other causes not arising out of defects inmaterials or workmanship. Additionally, this warranty does not cover costs of installation, removal, reinstallation or surfacemold and mildew created by excessive environmental conditions. Any service or repair provided outside the scope of thislimited warranty shall be at Barrette Outdoor Living’s rate and terms then in effect.What do we do to correct the problems? Should your Barrette Outdoor Living product prove defective under warranty,reference the website or call the phone number listed below. Your problem will be assigned a tracking number and anauthorized Barrette Outdoor Living representative will contact you to arrange a convenient time to schedule an onsiteinspection, or request pictures, if need be. If after inspection product is deemed to be manufacturer defect we will makearrangements to rectify the issue. You must have proof of your purchase in order for the problem to be corrected.Transferee Coverage: Warranty coverage will be extended to one transferee on the above listed products with the followinglimitations. Transferee must obtain an original or copy of the initial sales receipt (with proof of date) from the previousowner(s). Additionally, if fence is purchased from a builder or installer, documentation must be supplied that names theproduct installed on property and date of transfer.Registration: To activate this warranty, the online registration card must be completed and returned to Barrette Outdoor Livingwithin 30 days of installation.Additionally, this Warranty does not cover damage associated with surface mold and mildew resulting from environmental conditionsincluding air pollution, or any other causes not arising out of defects in materials or workmanship by Barrette Outdoor Living.This Warranty does not cover costs of removal or disposal of product, or reinstallation of replacement product. Any service providedoutside the scope of this limited Warranty shall be at Barrette Outdoor Living’s standard rate and terms then in effect.Barrette Outdoor Living reserves the right to discontinue or modify any of its products, including the color of its products, withoutnotice to the homeowner/consumer, and Barrette Outdoor Living does not warrant that any replacement material will match or beidentical to the original product as replacement products may vary in color or gloss in comparison to the original product as a resultof normal weathering. If Barrette Outdoor Living replaces any material under this Warranty, it may substitute products designated byBarrette Outdoor Living to be of comparable quality or price range in the event the product initially installed has been discontinuedor modified.THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL CONDITIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, OR IMPLIED INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TOANY IMPLIED CONDITIONS OR WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THE PARTOF Barrette OR ITS LICENSORS, SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSIONS OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR LIMITATIONSOF HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
