We have also been advising Edgewater representatives and have met with Mayor Gibson of OakHill to discuss how the Chamber may assist. A presentation was made to the Wednesday morning LeadsGroup to help educate them on Macro Economics and what policies generally drive economic success. Thispresentation will also be made to the NSB Rotary Club in March. We have created two sub set committees ofEconomic Development; one is to better understand environmental impacts on our southeast Volusia area.The other is a group who would like to assist the Education Committee develop a program to help high schoolstudents better understand the opportunities in manufacturing and other similar job opportunities. TheSoutheast Volusia Marketing Initiative (SEVMI) has met several times to prepare its report to the 3 Citiesregarding recommendations to improve collaborative marketing efforts in SEV. This will happen at publicmeeting on Wednesday March 15th at 6pm in the Edgewater City Hall.
