Allegiant Virtual uses the powerful flight tracking vaBase Live ACARS software that is richwith features including advanced flight tracking, performance statistics, and a full datalog.The vaBase software can be found in the Downloads section in the Pilot Center. Toinstall, simply download and run the setup.exe file. You may need to run the file as“Administrator” depending on your security settings.Requirements and Compatibility: vaBase ACARS is only compatible with Windows 7,Windows 8/8.1, and Windows 10 (x64/x86). Users of Microsoft Flight Simulator, FS2004,FSX, and Prepar3D require the current version of FSUIPC and users of X-Plane 11 requireXPUIPC to communicate with the ACARS. Both files are available in the Downloadssections of the Pilot Center. vaBase periodically updates the software automatically sothere is no need to reinstall the most recent version.Once installed, you will find a “vaBase Live ACARS” icon on your desktop. When you runthe ACARS software, you will be prompted to login with your Allegiant Virtual Pilot ID,e-mail address, and password:www.flyaay.com
Our ACARS also allows you to automatically import your flight plan from your simBriefaccount. To set this feature up, click on the blue configuration button at the top of thelogin page and enter your simBrief username.Our scheduling and flight booking system works together with vaBase Live ACARS, inthat, once you book your flight from the schedule, the flight data is automaticallypreloaded into the ACARS. The only information you need to enter before starting yourflight is your flight plan route and cruise level altitude. Keep in mind, you must enter avalid IFR flight plan route.Allegiant Virtual pilots are not allowed to file a “Direct GPS” flight plan.Before starting ACARS, your aircraft must be parked at the gate with the parking brakeengaged and the engines off. Your aircraft must also be properly loaded with fuel,cargo, and passengers.www.flyaay.com
Pilots who choose to fly a charter flight or a flight that is not available in the schedulewill need to enter all the data into the ACARS manually.www.flyaay.com
Once you have your aircraft loaded and your flight information entered in the ACARS,you are ready to start your flight. Simply press the green “Start Flight” button and youare ready to go!Some of the ACARS features include a Radar map of other live vaBase flights on thenetwork.www.flyaay.com
Our ACARS also features JetStream Radio for your entertainment during flight.Some other features include a messenger tab to chat with other pilots, METARs, yourlogbook, and links to flight simulation news courtesy of FSElite.Once your flight is complete, make sure you are parked at a gate and be sure to shutdown your engines before ending your flight and disconnecting from ACARS by clickingon the green “End Flight” button.www.flyaay.com
Once your flight has ended you can close the ACARS and your data will be automaticallyuploaded to the server.All flights are rated at a maximum of 100% Each setting is a percentage reduction of amaximum 100% flight performance score. Landing rate lower than -200 FPM (95%) Landing rate lower than -250 FPM (81%) Landing rate lower than -500 FPM (65%) Crash detected (0%) Landing lights on above 10K (99%) Landing lights not on below 10K (95%) Aircraft overspeed detected (75%) Slew detected (95%) Taxi overspeed detected 25 knots (95%) Overspeed above 250 kts below 10K (95%) Aircraft stall detected (70%)For example, if you taxi too fast, forget to turn off your landing lights above 10,000 feet,and then have a landing rate of -265 FPM, your flight score rating will be 75%.Your goal for all Allegiant Virtual flights is to have a score of 100% every flight.www.flyaay.com
