“ LARRY A. MIZEL AND DAVID D. MANDARICH HAVE WORKED THEIRENTIRE CAREERS TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY AS THEY BUILTONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL COMPANIES IN OUR STATE.THE RICHMOND AMERICAN HOMES FOUNDATION WAS FORMED TOENSURE THEIR SUPPORT WILL CONTINUE LONG INTO THE FUTURE.” JARED POLIS, GOVERNOR OF COLORADO

OVER 40 YEARS OF SUSTAINABILITYEven as their homebuilding business was just beginning to grow inthe 70s, Larry Mizel and David Mandarich had a bigger vision forthe company than simply financial success. In the early years, thatincluded everything from raising funds for a children’s hospital tocovering the costs for a youth baseball team’s uniforms. Today, aswe’re building new homes and establishing new neighborhoods fromcoast to coast, we’re still focused on supporting thriving communities. In the following pages, you’ll find stories from people from many walksof life. Whether we’re funding cancer research, a second chance for asurvivor of domestic violence, or a scholarship for a low-income child, our goal remains steadfast—to foster a vibrant, thriving community—one step, one dollar, one dream at a time. After all, that’s whatsustainability in business is all about. We’re over 40 years strong, and this is the world view that will sustain us for 40 years to come.As company and community leaders, we understood somethingfrom the very beginning: growing a successful company goes handin hand with fostering a world where that business can flourish.Balancing environmental and social concerns with business needshas always been a cornerstone of our efforts. That means lifting upthe communities where our employees live and work so they canprosper. And it means recognizing that our financial performanceis dependent on the continued improvement of the greater worldaround us. Ultimately, building up our customers, employees andour communities isn’t just our responsibility; it’s how we best serveour shareholders.Warm regards,So, we’re taking a long-term view. Our Foundation was formed totake our philanthropic investments to the next level, and that’s notsomething we approach lightly. Through our giving, we look beyondprofitability to support diversity, equal opportunities for women, educational opportunities for at-risk youth, and so much more.Larry A.
