Attended Manufacturing Day at Honda of America in Anna (2 dayevent) where we saw over 1,200 high school students. Participated in Ford’s 2018 Health and Education Fair. Toured U.S. Express on “School Appreciation Day” in Dayton, OH.Dana Dukes-NortonDistrict Communications Manager Social media content maintained, updates made and analytics utilized. Adult Ed. course catalog has been redesigned and combined with the district newsletter at asignificant cost savings to the district. This project was spearheaded by Allison Overholt. The recruitment materials for the high school are in process and a video shoot took place onOctober 11.

Lila Whyman is working on a prototype of program-specific, Google-based dashboard and iscoordinating with administration. Library Orientation for Adult Ed nursing students includeddemonstration of Oculus Rift ‘ShareCare You’ program toexplore the inside of a heart and lungs. Coordinated Retiree Luncheon and Grandparents’ Day. Updated board member iPads. Assisted staff with adding tests to Schoology, adding andediting student lists in STAR Reader/STAR Math andbrainstorming tech integration ideas. 1,451 students and 13 classes visited the Media Centerand had three staff assists. Assisted the Assessment Center during Mrs. Towey’s absence.Roy GillespieFacility Manager Annual back-flow, sprinkler and fire testing scheduled for Christmas shutdown. Safety Committee agenda included: accident reports, mission statement, meeting dates,CrisisGo, CPR/AED training, student safety contest, student safety checks, Indoor Air QualityProgram, door lock scheduling, ALICE Training, Emergency Management Tests, Apollo as aPOD (Point of Dispensing) site for the Health Department and SDS/Student Safe posters. September and October are heavy preventative maintenance months preparing for the heatingseason, shutting down cooling equipment and storing grounds equipment. In September, the maintenance department completed 55 staff work requests and 49 scheduledpreventative maintenance tasks. Attended the School Security and Safety Solutions Summit in Columbus. Respirator fit testing for Auto Collision students with Mercy Health’s Occupational HealthCenter. OSHA requires this testing along with physicals and detailed questionnaires thatstudent’s parents complete. Pulmonary Function Testing is scheduled for the students if thereare red flags from their questionnaires or physicals. Mark Sweigart and Barb Cook havereceived training to complete the fit testing for the students, which will save Apollo quite a bit ofmoney. Conference call with Charge Point, the official vendor for an incentive program that is beingoffered by AEP for schools/businesses to install electric vehicle charging stations. We couldreceive 100% reimbursement to install these stations at Apollo. It is good publicrelations/marketing and Apollo could make some money.Dick SchroyerTechnology Manager Working ahead to prepare for MakerFest – we not only host one day on campus, but we alsoloan laptops and projectors for events at the Civic Center. Assisted several areas with Career Connections Day – this event was one of the largest

‘student tour’ days on record and was a great success for Apollo. Assisted with troubleshooting and completing the setup of the new Excavator Simulator in theCET Building. Completed the expansion of the data and electrical connections in the Robotics Lab, effectivelydoubling the number of student stations. Technology Services worked on a total of 85 submitted trouble tickets during the month ofSeptember.Bruce JohnsonInstructional Supervisor Preparations for MakerFest at Apollo on October 18. Attended Success Series at Miami Valley CTC for Public Safety. Visited Penta and EHOVE Career Centers to look at their PublicSafety programs. Picked up 3 donated engines from the Honda Engine Plant inAnna. Automated Mfg. Tech. (AMT) and Welding seniors attendedManufacturing Days at the Honda Engine Plant. Building and Renovations (BDR) students are making progress onthe flip house. Construction Equip. Tech. (CET) students poured a concrete pad outside of the Public Safetyburn tower and are lifting trusses at the Carpentry house.Nick SammetingerInstructional Supervisor Scheduled the Health Science Blood Drive for December 19. The American Red Cross willdonate or provide a scholarship. Phlebotomy students are practicing their sticks on each other. The new Physical Therapy Aide Certification for Sports Fitness and Exercise Science (SES) isunderway. This is a new 12 point credential for a program which previously had no credential.SES students are completing the 10 Hour OSHA training using the vouchers won at the HOSAstate competition. SES students have been going to F.A.S.T. on Tuesdays for their extended curriculum training. Five Apollo instructors and I attended a PBIS/Classroom Management workshop at the AllenCounty ESC. Audisty Brunk (ADM) was elected Vice-President of the BPA Regional Chapter. Early Childhood Education students are completing interviews with Head Start. Two seniorshave started their School-to-Work opportunity.

Culinary Arts (CA) seniors went to St. Marks to volunteer at theWest Ohio Food Bank. Students handed out food, served snacksto those waiting in line and did cooking demos. CA students visited the Columbus Culinary Institute in Columbus. The Culinary program was honored with the Hospitality Programof Distinction from Sullivan University. Carolyn Stein has been selected to serve on the Ohio EnergyProject team that will develop high school curriculums to be usedin Environmental Science classes. Courtnee Morris and Melissa Roll will attend an ODE session inaligning Career Technical and Social Studies standards. Student Council and BDR students are teaming up for the annualWapakoneta Halloween Parade. Student Learning Objectives and Professional Growth Planshave all be collected and approved. The Ohio Teacher Evaluation Cycle is set to begin.Educators who taught state tested courses last year will be receiving their Value Added(EVAAS) scores soon. Registered with Bruce Johnson to attend the OTIESA/CTEP Fall Conference in November. Thisis a conference for career technical supervisors.Jamie BuellInstructional Supervisor The OhioMeansJobs coach is meeting with all of oursenior English classes. She is helping them createaccounts on the OhioMeansJobs website and isshowing them how to navigate through the website.This school year the students will post their resumeson their accounts, learn how to job search andcomplete job applications through the OhioMeansJobswebsite. On Friday, September 28, we had 1270 8th and 9thgraders from our member school districts visit Apolloon a Career Connection Tour.
