Thesestandards, called the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards, define thebest practices for handling, storage, and transmitting credit card information.Visa’s Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) is designed to ensure allmerchants that store, process, or transmit Visa cardholder data protect it properly.
