8Admission RequirementsThe school admits, as regular students, only persons having an Official Transcript of graduation from aschool recognized by the State’s Board of Education providing secondary education (high school, homeschool or GED). . This school does not admit Ability-to-Benefit Exams. Students must complete anApplication for Admission, have a personal interview, and sign an official enrollment agreement. TheCollege does not have a third party articulation agreement to train incarcerated students and thereforedoes not admit.Transcript ValidityAll students will be required to provide a an official copy of either a high school transcript, GEDtranscript or Home School transcript in order to enter in to all programs of study at Capri Beauty College.(A copy of a high school transcript will be accepted provided it has been notarized to be a true and exactcopy of the original.) These documents need to be presented to the admissions department no later thanthe day of orientation.All transcripts or official documents must be presented to the registrar in a sealed envelope with theschool/institution logo or faxed/emailed from the official school/institution where the student received thetranscript or official document. The registrar will review all high school, GED and home schooltranscripts to confirm that they are official documents. No student will be admitted if the registrar doesnot have documentation that properly validates high school graduation.To verify that a school is recognized by the Ill. State Board of Education (ISBE) the registrar will checkthe ISBE website; www.isbe.net. Home schooled students will be required to provide a transcript fromtheir school and certified by a school official.Appropriate steps would be enforced for other states as well. The Office of Admission at Capri will verifyout-of-state transcripts with the issuing State for official recognition of validity. A student that submits adiploma or official document from a foreign country must provide evidence of secondary levelcompletion by submitting the documentation which would provide them admission to highereducation in their home country and will have their document translated by an appropriate official toverify that their diploma is a valid high school diploma. Students should provide originals of both themarks/exams sheet (transcript) and the school leaving certificate (diploma). Sometimes this willbe a single document. If these documents are written in the foreign language, the student mustalso provide a word-for-word English translation for each documentTranscripts deemed "not-valid" is the school's final decision without appeal.
