Modesto Junior College2021 Distinguished Alumni AwardMr. Jeremy StolleJeremy Stolle is a first-generation collegegraduate, recording artist, concert singer andcurrent cast member in the Broadway productionof The Phantom of the Opera. Jeremy found his wayfrom the football team into the music program atModesto High School by pure fate. His love forthe theater grew quickly and his education beganits much-needed focus.Jeremy set out on a path to higher education topursue his new passion for music and theater. Hewas referred by an influential high school teacherto Modesto Junior College to study classical musicwith Dr. Lewis and Shirley Woodward who, at thetime, were an institution of music teaching in thearea.Even with the challenge of parking before class,Jeremy still managed to focus on his passion, singingwith the community chorus, starring in the yearlymusical, working for the Modesto Symphony Orchestra and finishing an educationthat would award him a full-ride scholarship to the University of California at Irvine.This was all achieved without leaving the MJC campus. It was this engagement withand care from college personnel and fellow students that prepared him for his Broadwaydreams.After moving to New York in pursuit of a risky career, Jeremy set out on anadventure that would take him all around the world. In addition to Phantom of theOpera, Jeremy starred in the Disney Theatrical Group’s pre-Broadway production ofThe Hunchback of Notre Dame, also appearing as Jehan on the original cast recordingof The Hunchback of Notre Dame.Other adventurous theater credits include the Broadway workshop productionof A Tale of Two Cities, the roles of Adam in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, TrevorGraydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Lionel in Camelot and Gaston in multiplenational productions of Beauty and the Beast!Jeremy also played the title role in Jekyll and Hyde and Scarlet Pimpernel, for whichhe won an Elly Award for “Best Actor in A Musical.”As a concert artist, Jeremy has performed with symphonies on Broadway andthroughout the world. And, as principal of his production company, Stolle HouseProductions, Jeremy has performed his show “No More Talk of Darkness” withPerforming Arts Centers nationwide.In addition to live performance, Jeremy has a solid online fanbase as a recordingartist with millions of hits on Spotify. His first solo album, “In the Moment,” has soldin over 30 countries.
