VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION IF YOU HAVEA DEGREE FROM YOUR COUNTRYCalifornia State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) are public transferuniversities and may not admit students who want to earn a second Bachelor’s Degree. If you are thinking about transferring to a CSU/UC and you already have a degree that isequal to a Bachelor’s Degree, please inform your counselor about this during yourappointment while planning your courses. There may be just a few majors that allowstudents to get a second Bachelor’s Degree or some CSUs/UCs that allow admission to allmajors. Counselors can provide guidance so that students can research more about earninga second Bachelor’s degree from a CSU/UC.If you do not share your degree information with the CSUs/UCs, that is consideredacademic dishonesty on your record and they will never allow you admission. Our community college system may accept some foreign credit toward electives. Ask acounselor for more details.

Your major and/or transfer school may beokay with any of them or may want a specific one. MATH 120 F is commonly taken by Nursing majors. Getting the ADT inBusiness Administration (CSU transfer) allows MATH 120 F as an alternate choice to Calculus. MATH 026 F adds extra support forMATH 120 F; some MATH 120 F sections are linked with MATH 026 F.SOSC 120 F is a common choice for Sociology majors and for majors that are ok with any Statistics class.SOSC 120 F is usually one of the choices for Sociology majors. Some Sociology programs may even be okay with the other two statistics choices (PSY161 Fand MATH 120 F). Some majors are okay with any Statistics class and SOSC 120 F may be listed as one of the options.PSY 161 F is a common choice for majors in Psychology.PSY 161 F is usually the choice for all Psychology majors. Some Psychology programs may even be ok with the other statistics choices (SOSC 120 F and MATH120 F). However, many schools will want PSY 202 F (Research Methods) which requires PSY 101 F and PSY 161 F to be taken first, so to be safe take PSY 161 F.MATH 130 FCALCULUSFOR BUSINESSMATH 129 F to MATH 130 F is a common choice for Business Administration majors.California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) Business Administration majors are required to take MATH 130 F or MATH 151 F(exception: those that get the ADT may take MATH 120 F). University of California (UC) Riverside is also okay with MATH 130 F,other University of California schoools may want MATH 151 F.BUS 151 FBUS 151 F or BUS 101 F are good for the CSU if your major does not require a specific math class and are also a good choices for our non-transfer related associate degrees.BUS 101 FAs of Fall 2020 BUS 151 F and BUS101 F are good for the CSU if your major does not require a specific college level math; BUS 151 F and BUS 101 F are alsogood choices for our non-transfer related associate degrees. Be aware that these courses do not fulfill the math requirement to transfer to the UC system.BUSINESS MATHEMATICSorPERSONAL FINANCIALMANAGEMENT

Some students may need to take both MATH 141 F (CollegeAlgebra) and MATH 142 F (Trigonometry) in order to take MATH 151 F (Calculus 1). Some Business Administration majors and Economics majors toward the University of California(UC) system will ask for MATH 151 F and MATH 152 F.Common majors that require classes from this sequence include: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Geology, Mathematics, Physics. Some Business Administration majors and Economics majors toward the University of California (UC) system will ask for MATH 151 F and MATH 152 F.Career paths that require classes from this sequence include: dentistry, medicine, optometry, pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy. Be aware that many of these careerpaths do not require majoring in a STEM field for your Bachelor’s degree. However, many of these career paths will require many math and science courses which align with community college level classes in STEM majors. So yes, a major in Art, Theatre, English, Psychology and other non-STEM majors can be a doctor but they will need all of the classes required forentry into medical school including math courses on this sequence and various science courses; these courses can be taken at Fullerton College.
