This commitmentstrongly supports the concept of seamless transfer that embraces the principle that transfer students shouldnot be required to repeat competencies already achieved.Concordia College and NDSCS enter into this agreement in the spirit of cooperation andmutually recognize each other as quality institutions of higher learning. Each institution,furthermore, is dedicated to serving students from all walks of life, regardless of race, ethnicity,religion, sex, disability, age, marital status, national origirt or other non-merit factors.STATEMENT OF PURPOSEThe purpose of this agreement is to provide a smooth transition for transferring from one related degreeprogram to another. It is further recognized that the attached agreement describes how courses willtransfer from NDSCS to Concordia College. This agreement identifies equ ivalent courses for: NDSCSAssociate in Science in Nursing to a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Nursing.TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CREDIT TRANSFERNDSCS transfer students will be held to the same standards and criter ia for admission as are otherConcordia College transfer students . All students will meet specific requirements as listed in their entrycatalog. Program specific requirements and /or required courses are listed for the catalog year enteredunder and defined in Appendix A of this agreement.1

ARTICULATION Th1PLEMENTATION AND AGREEMENT REVIEWThe Chief Academic Officer or designee of each collaborating institution shall be responsible forimplementing this agreement, for identifying and incorporating any changes into subsequent agreements,and for conducting a periodic review of this agreement.Both NDSCS and Concordia College are responsible for notifying the other institution of substantialcurriculum changes to ensure the continuation of this agreement. This agreement is based on the 20152016 academic catalog and becomes effective Fall 2015. Applications will be considered beginning Fall2014. APPENDIX ATransfer Articulation Agreement betweenNDSCS Associate of Science in Nursing, Registered NursingtoConcordia College Bachelor of Arts with a major in NursingThe nursing program at Concordia College is nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate NursingEducation (CCNE) and maintains approval through the North Dakota and Minnesota Boards of Nursing.This agreement includes specific program and admission requirements and indicates which courses canbe used to meet core, major, and other graduation requirements. Concordia transfer policies state: gradesof C- or above will transfer; all courses equivalent to courses offered at Concordia will transfer; coursesthat Concordia does not offer will transfer as elective credit.Concordia College Nursing program admission requirements:(See 2013-2014 catalog for complete listing) Policies specific to students accepted into the nursingmajor are published in the Baccalaureate Nursing Program Student Handbook. The handbook isprovided to students in the first semester of the major. Because state regulations require a specificstudent-faculty ratio in the clinical practicum, enrollment in the professional nursing program is limitedand based on available resources and clinical placement availability. Admission is competitive andbased on all of the following:1. GPA (minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 through the semester of application on all posthigh school coursework)2. Completion of the prerequisite courses with a passing letter grade of C- or higher3. Eligibility for junior standing4. Submission of the completed application materials by set deadline5. Submission of official transcripts6. Proof of RN licensure submitted by July 15th of program start yearInstitutional and graduation requirements:(See 2013-2014 catalog for complete listing)General1. Minimum of 126 semester credits (excluding music ensembles)2. Minimum Cumulative GPA of2.0 in Concordia courses and in all courses combined3. Senior year in residence requirement met. Students must earn at least 28 semester creditson campus and must spend the last two semesters preceding graduation as a full-timestudent at Concordia4. 40 semester credits with senior college credit (courses numbered 300 and above)Major1. Completion of all requirements for the Nursing major, as outlined in the academic catalog2.
