Process ImprovementsBusiness Processes (BPs)Workday is built with a number of Business Processesthat streamline the way work is done. Most of thedata that was once manually entered by HR or Payrollwill now come in and be managed by these BPs. BPs streamline the processes for onboarding newhires, terminations, job changes, and more Steps in the BPs are managed via a Work Queue.You will be notified by a message in your Workdayinbox if you need to approve or review a change Most changes that affect payroll (such as retros)are automatically routed to the correct place bythese BPsTrinity Health University 2016 Trinity Health – Livonia, Mich.
Process ImprovementsRetro PaymentsAs just mentioned, most retros will come into Workday via a BP and will not need to bemanually entered by Payroll. If retro data needs to be brought in, it can be entered by HRusing an EIB. Supported and unsupported retro changes are calculated differently byWorkday.Workday will automatically calculateand process retroactive pay for anysupported retro changeTrinity Health UniversityWorkday will identify and flag anyunsupported retro change.
