Phase I ofBuckhead's new PATH400 trail wasofficially opened on January 9, 2015 at aribbon cutting ceremony. Phase II, a halfmile stretch between Old Ivy Road andWieuca Road has been completed. PhaseIII, Sidney Marcus to Miami Circle hasbeen completed. Phase IV, Miami Circleto Lenox Road, construction has beencompleted. Obtaining easements andpermitting for remaining phases. The projectis currently open to traffic.Project Completed: July 2016.PROJECT COMPLETEDConstruction mobilized on the NorthBridge in November 2015. Early progressincluded installation of protectiveinterstate overhangs, removal of oldfencing, and installation of temporaryprotective fencing. The concretepedestrian barrier walls have beenconstructed. Bridge lights and 6-footPEACHTREE letters have been installed.All twenty minor arches and two majorarches have been erected on both sidesof the bridge. The overall project wascompleted in April 2018.PROJECT COMPLETEDTo celebrate completion of the project,ADID hosted a bridge preview event forstakeholders and the media on Sept. 22,2016. The iconic “Peachtree” bridgeletters have been illuminated as well.The project was completed in September2016.

The project consists ofwidening Mitchell Bridge Road to threelanes, with one lane in each directionand a center two-way turn lane fromAthens West Parkway to the Publixshopping center. The corridor wasconverted to an urban roadway sectionwith curb and gutter. Drainage pipeswere added to accommodate the stormwater. Sidewalks were also extendedand/or constructed along the entirecorridor. The project was completed onFebruary 26, 2016.PROJECT COMPLETEDProject improved approximately 0.7 milesof the eastern end of Cass White Road.Project included construction of twotwelve-foot lanes, including twelve-footturn lanes where warranted, andimprovements along US 411 north andsouth of its intersection with Cass-WhiteRoad. Overall project was completed inJanuary 2021.PROJECT COMPLETEDState Park Road: All Right-of-way hasbeen acquired. Corp. of Engineersissued a Nationwide permit for theconstruction of a short bridge over astream, the bridge is installed. Theproject was advertised for constructionbids on April 18, 2019, contract awardedin August 2019. Notice-to-proceed wasissued to the contractor on Nov. 8,2019. The project’s overall completiondate has been pushed out due to recentrequirement of full federal oversight.Target Completion: June 2022PROJECT COMPLETEDProject extended Tumbling Creek Roadapproximately 900 feet over NorfolkSouthern Railroad to intersect with OldOakwood Road and connect to MillsideParkway. Project consists of two 12-foottravel lanes with curb and gutter as well asa 10-foot multi-use path on the west side.Contractor completed the bridgeconstruction, sidewalks, paving, andtraffic signal installation. The project wascompleted on March 28, 2019.PROJECT COMPLETEDProject provides a 0.24-mile two laneroadway extension between theintersection of SR 520/US 82 and FussellRoad to the intersection of Marlow Laneand Margate Lane. The focus of theproject is to relieve congestion in aresidential area and provide secondaryaccess to a nearby commercial district. All

This is the first phase ofmultiple projects that will improveconnectivity between Warner Robinsand Peach County. Right-of-wayacquisition, environmental assessment,surveys, and wetland delineations arecompleted. The construction let dateoccurred on September 8, 2020. Theproject is approximately 95% complete.Target Completion: April 30, 2022IN PROGRESS - DESIGN PHASEProject will improve mobility byconnecting Goldkist Drive with the I-285westbound entrance and exit ramps atAshford Dunwoody Road. The projectincludes a parallel multi-use path forbicycle and pedestrian access to theDunwoody MARTA station. The FinalConcept Report was approved by GDOT.Traffic analysis, geotechnicalexploration, survey work, andsubsurface utility engineering have beencompleted. An amendment to theproject scope has been executed.Target Completion: December 2023CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAYThis project is part of a comprehensiveplan to redevelop the closed GeneralMotors Plant site now known as theAssembly, creating a 0.5 mile, four-laneconnector road from Motors IndustrialBoulevard to Peachtree Road (Phase 1 ofWest Avenue Connector). Project willinclude 10-foot bicycle lanes and 12-footsidewalks. Design of sewer and stormwater utilities have been completed. Thenorthern portion of the project is underconstruction. Ongoing designdevelopment and construction activitieswill continue until the project is fully

The Preliminary FieldPlan occurred on July 31, 2020. Right-ofway authorization and the constructionlet date placed on hold. The City’scoordinating with GDOT regarding thescope of this project, and the otherprojects just south of the project limits,for the best possible way improve theGreen Street corridor.Target Completion: March 2023PROJECT COMPLETEDProject added a roundabout at theintersection of North Hill Street andTuskegee Avenue/Northside Drive,where both horizontal alignments offseteach other. Project corrected theexisting deficiencies, improved safety,reduced travel delay and addedsidewalks, pedestrian crossings, andprovided connectivity among adjacentland uses. This project was completedon November 28, 2017.PROJECT COMPLETEDProject created a 550-foot, new roadwayin the heart of Sandy Springs, providing aneast-west street connection betweenRoswell Road/SR 9 and Boylston Drive.The new two-lane street was designed aswalking and bicycle friendly with a 25-mileper hour design speed, 6-foot and 10-footsidewalks, generous landscape strip fortree planting and landscaping, pedestrianlighting, and on-street parallel parking.The project was completed in June 2018.IN PROGRESS – DESIGN/ROW PHASEProject will widen a portion of PiedmontRoad from a 5-lane cross section to a 7lane cross section. Project provides acenter turn lane for the length of the

project between Peachtree Road andLenox Road, with a bicycle facility on thewest-side. GDOT approved the designvariance for lane widths and flushmedian. The design engineering firm isworking on design concept andcoordination with property owners. Allsurveys have been completed. Right-ofway negotiations are underway withproperty owners.
