Thishonor ranks our school in thetop 30 percent of all public highschools in the U.S.C-S was recognized as aBronze Medal School becausewe met or exceeded the followingthree criteria: Our students performed statistically better than expected forstudents in New York State. Our disadvantaged studentsoutperformed other disadvantagedstudents in New York State. Our graduation rate was 80percent or better – and our ratewas significantly better. On themost recent New York State SchoolReport Card, C-S achieved a 90percent graduation rate. This honor is as result of ashared vision in which our teachersstrive to develop within their students the skills needed to be successful in school and in the widerworld after graduation. It is also theresult of the wonderful partnershipswe have with our parents and thelarger C-S community. On behalf of the Board ofEducation and our staff, I want tothank our parents for working together with us to ensure their children put a high priority on schoolwork so that each reaches his orher highest potential. I also wantto thank the broader communityfor your continued support of theDistrict, the most recent examplebeing the approval of the 2018-19District budget with a 71 percentsuper majority.I hope you all find time to enjoy your summer.
