Nursing After Acceptance:Medical and FDLE RequirementsMedical exam completed by a licensed physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner. Medical exam must include the following requirements: Proof of negative tuberculous result: PPD, TB Gold or Chest X-ray. **(PPD must be completed within year; Chest x-ray must be completed within the last two years) Titers (bloodwork) or shot records showing immunity to Rubeola (Measles), Rubella (German Measles), andVaricella (Chickenpox).**(RESULTS: BLOODWORK OR SHOT RECORDS, MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN THE LAST 10 YEARS.) Nursing After Acceptance:Licensure Post-GraduationRN program graduates will beeligible to take the NCLEX-RNexam for Florida State Licensure.RN students are eligible to takethe Florida Prometric Exam fornursing assistants (CNAs) and/orthe NCLEX-PN exam forPractical Nurses (LPN) while theyare enrolled in the RN program.New graduates are typicallygiven an exam date within 60days of program completion. Graduates with prior legal issues ontheir backgrounds are required to submitadditional documentation tothe Florida Board of Nursing (BON).The NCLEX-RN exam and datesare administeredto students directly from theFlorida BONSpeak to a RN advisor after program acceptance if interested insitting for the Prometric (CNA) or NCLEX-PN (LPN) exams.
