Military MarketsMilitary asset owners commonly apply 30 yearold CARC technologies (Chemical AgentResistant Coating) over steel surfaces to mitigatethe effects of chemical contamination, environmental exposure including oxidation, weather damage, corrosion and desire for betterappearance. Conventional CARC's "alone" arecurrently susceptible to; UV degradation chemical attack weathering water damage corrosion normal useWhat is needed? An improved CARC that protects military assetsmore thoroughly than conventional CARCtechnologies. A permanent surface coating thatwill dramatically extend the surface life of newlypainted or oxidized CARC paints by 10 years.ANO #LEARȩSuperCARC/BOP MFBS SuperCARC is designed to beapplied directly over new or old CARC paints.SuperCARC dramatically extends the service lifeof military assets by significantly improvingcorrosion resistance, abrasion, chemicalresistance, abrasion, UV damage and weathering.Nano-Clear SuperCARC improves the long-termTVSGBDF QSPUFDUJPO of CARC paints XIJMereducing surface cleaning by 50%. What Makes SuperCARC so Unique?Nano-EngineeringCreates Exceptional Crosslink DensityNano-Clear SuperCARC is manufacturedusing proprietary 3D nanostructured polymers- producing extreme crosslink density.Stonebridge Coatings Laboratory has validatedNano-Clear SuperCARC to have the highestscratch resistance and chemical resistance overother leading CARC paints alone.SuperCARC is a two-component clear mattecoating, which provides extreme corrosionresistance, abrasion, chemical & UV resistanceand reduced surface maintenance. SuperCARCpenetrates deep into the pores of newlypainted CARC or oxidized CARC paints todramatically improve corrosion resistance, surface hardness, chemical and long-term UVresistance.SuperCARC produces an exceptionally highcrosslink dense polymer network. SuperCARCis the world’s best all-around clearcoat forresistance to corrosion, scratches, chips, abrasion, chemicals, weathering, and more.SuperCARC is specifically designed to beapplied directly OVER existing or new CARCpaints. Please see the back cover for test resultsor http://www.nanocoatings.com.Nano-Clear SuperCARC is a 3-component multi-functional nanocoating comprised of Nano-Clear NCICoating Nano-Clear NCIM Matting Additive @ 27% Nano-Clear NCA Accelerator @ 1% by weight.

Old 23, Suite 101Brighton, MI 48114Re.:SCLI Job No. 617 146D –Testing of Chemical Agent Resistant CoatingsDear Mr. Choate:We have completed the initial screening testing of your chemical agent resistant coatings. Two coated carbon fiber composite samples were received and labeled as CARC and CARC Nano-Clear SuperCARC Matte Topcoating. Table 1 summarizes the samples received. TheSherwin Williams CARC paint was applied as per the enclosed instructions @ 2 mils DFT andallowed to air cure for 24 hours at RT w/50% R.H. The Nano-Clear SuperCARC MatteTopcoating was also applied @ 2 mils DFT and allowed to air cure for 24 hours at RT w/50%R.H.Table 1: SamplesSample IDAGSW CARC OnlyCARC SuperCARCBasecoatTan CARC CC-M25 *TopcoatNoneTan CARC CC-M25 *SuperCARC*** Sherwin-Williams MIL-DTL-53039E, Type IX, 1K Aliphatic Polyurethane 3.5 VOC, CARC** Nano-Clear SuperCARC Matte Topcoating, Nanostructured Polyurethane/Polyurea ,LJďƌŝĚ LJƐƚĞŵThe samples were tested for a variety of optical and physical properties. Color values were not significantly different. RegardingIR reflectance, the topcoat sample was comparable to the control without topcoat from 800 to1100nm, slightly higher in % IRR from 700 to 800nm and lower than the control for wavelengthsgreater than 1100nm. Refer to Table 3 for detailed gloss and color measurements and Table 4for % IR Reflectance.Table 3: Optical Property Test Results - Gloss & ColorSample ASample GTan CARC Tan 0566.66a6.366.02b20.8820.71Color:

Job #617 146DXPage 4 of 4Regarding physical properties, both the control and topcoat samples showed goodadhesion, acid spot and water immersion resistance. The SuperCARC topcoat sampleshowed superior hardness before and after water immersion and exceptional MEKresistance. The control showed moderate burnishing after 200 MEK double rubs andshowed dissolving of the tan coating within 20 MEK double rubs. The SuperCARC topcoatsample was unaffected by 200 MEK double rubs.
