CHEMOTHERAPY - COXHEALTHYour nurse will come andescort you to the examroom.

CHEMOTHERAPY - COXHEALTHIf you are getting an infusion/chemo after your appointment,stop at the registration area.

CHEMOTHERAPY - COXHEALTHWhen your visit with the office has concluded, you will stop at the frontscheduling office to confirm your next appointment and schedule anynecessary tests. After, proceed to the 2nd floor Outpatient Chemotherapyunit if you are receiving infusions/chemo that day.

Centralized RegistrationIf you are receiving treatment atOutpatient Chemotherapy (2ndfloor) or the Radiation Center,you will need to completeregistration in the AllenbrandResource Center & Library on theground floor (Ste. 120). Beprepared to bring your insurancecards, photo id, and copay (asnecessary) at this time.

Chemotherapy –Outpatient Oncology (OPC)2nd Floor, Ste. 240After you have completed registration on the groundfloor, you will check in at the counter in OPC(2nd floor, Ste. 240).

Chemotherapy - OPCAfter checking in, you will be taken to a recliner chair orbed (as needed). The pharmacist must prepare yourmedications and lab results must be received beforechemotherapy can be administered, so there is a typicallya period of waiting at this point.

Chemotherapy - OPCWhile waiting for your chemotherapy meds, thenurse will start your IV or access your port.

Outpatient Oncology FAQsIf you arrive between 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., a cold boxlunch may be available, or you may bring yourown lunch.You may use cell phones in this area.You may bring your laptop computer. There isInternet Wi-Fi available.

Outpatient Oncology FAQsThe length of time you can expect for treatmentwill vary, depending on your treatment plan.If you are on oxygen, you must bring your ownsupply to last while you are receiving treatment.Dress comfortably. Warm blankets and pillows areavailable.DVD players and movies are available for yourviewing, or you may bring your own DVD movies.

Chemotherapy - GeneralIf you have a port, you might want to considerwearing a button down shirt to your chemotherapyappointments for easier access.If you do not have a port, please wear a loosesleeved shirt so access to arm is easier.Please remember that the treatment offices are notgeared for children. For your protection and theirs,please keep children at home if at all possible.Children will not be allowed in the treatmentareas.

Radiation TherapyFirst visit after simulation – “dry run”*Check in at the front desk whereyou will receive a swipe card (tocheck yourself in each day after),and will be shown how to use itYour radiation therapist will comeout and meet you in the waitingroom and will escort you to thetreatment machineThe therapist will explain what toexpect and will show you thechanging area, bathroom andtreatment areaThe therapist will explain what willhappen each day during treatment*Before your first visit to the Radiation Center, you will need to complete registrationin the Allenbrand Resource Center & Library, Ste. 120 (ground floor).

Radiation TherapyWhen you arrive at theradiation department,you will check yourselfin by using your swipecard.

Radiation TherapyAfter checking in, you will sit in the waiting roomuntil you hear your name called overhead.

Radiation TherapyWhen your name is paged overhead, you will walk back tothe treatment area.

Radiation TherapyEach week, you will visit with the doctor. For dailytreatments, most patients are usually in and out in lessthan 30 minutes (unless it is a doctor visit day).
