Learning ExpectationsLanguage of Instruction:Class Format:Class Attendance:Class Participation:Course Grading:Class Size:Course Load:Course Choices:Examinations:Transcripts:English is the medium of instruction for the Business SchoolLectures, Case Analysis/Presentations, Papers, and ProjectsClass attendance is mandatory until the last day of classesClass participation is part of the student’s final grade in most courses4.3 grading scale, letter graded, with grade D as marginal pass; finalcourse grade often based on class participation, projects, case analysis,mid-term and final exams. Some courses are graded on a curve.Normally 30 – 40 students per a class for 2000 - 4000 level coursesA maximum total of 5 courses within 17 credits in total.Exchange students can select as long as they meet the prerequisiterequirements and subject to space availabilities. Some courses mayrequire professor approval for enrollment.Format of exams varies. Final exams are written in the last 2 weeks of theschool. Students are responsible to stay in HK until the last day of finals.Requests for early leave of exams are normally not considered.Students receive 2 free transcript copies.
