PQM II Power Quality MeterHarmonic Analysis: Non linear loads such asvariable speed drives, computers and electronicballasts can cause harmonics which may leadto problems such as nuisance breaker tripping, telephone interference, transformer, capacitoror motor overheating. Harmonic analysis canbe used for fault diagnosis such as detectingundersized neutral wiring, need for a harmonicrated transformer, or effectiveness of harmonicfilters. Details of the harmonic spectrum are usefuland available with the power analysis option.Voltage Disturbance Recorder (VDR)The Voltage Disturbance Recorder (VDR) functionadds to the PQM II the ability to monitor andrecord Sag and Swell disturbances. It can recordup to 500 sag/swell events for all voltagessimultaneously.Waveform Capture: Voltage and currentwaveforms can be captured and displayed ona PC using the EnerVista program suppliedwith the PQM II or using third party software.Distorted peaks or notches from SCR switchingprovide clues for taking corrective action.TMEvent Recorder: Alarms, setpoint triggers, input and output events can be stored in a 150event record and time and date stamped bythe internal clock. This is useful for diagnosingproblems and system activity. Minimum andmaximum values are also continuously updatedand time stamped.Trace Memory: The PQM II can be configuredto record a maximum of 36 cycles of dataon all voltage and current inputs based onovervoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent orswitch input state change.EnerVista SoftwareEnerVista LaunchpadTMEnerVista Launchpad is a powerful softwarepackage that provides users with all of the setupand support tools needed for configuring andmaintaining GE Multilin Products.
