State Fair Static ExhibitsIf your County Fair Static Exhibit is selected for State Fair, you will see a State FairSticker on your county fair entry card. Your exhibit is then due in the County ExtensionOffice no later than Monday, August 22. Moving over-sized exhibits will be the responsibility of the 4-H’er. Extension staff is not responsible for any damaged, lost or stolen items.Exhibitors or families wishing to pick up their own static exhibits from the NebraskaState Fair must complete an Exhibit Hall Release form and submit it to their localExtension office before August 19. The Exhibit Hall Release form must be obtainedfrom your local Extension office. Proper paperwork must be signed by theexhibitor/family and county Extension staff. This form gives non-Extension personnelpermission to pick up items after the fair. The designated person listed on the form willbe responsible for picking up the item(s).The Nebraska 4-H Video Companion Animal ShowmanshipThe Nebraska 4-H Video Companion Animal Showmanship Contest provides youth anopportunity to showcase the knowledge and skills they have developed in their 4-Hcompanion animal project. The contest is open to youth ages 10-18 who are enrolled ina companion animal project.Videos should be recorded at the youth’s home and submitted following the instructionsoutlined below. Entries can be submitted starting July 1st and are due by 5:00 PM CST onAugust 15, ip-contestAge DivisionsIntermediate: 10-13 years of age before January 1 of the current yearSenior: 14-18 years of age as of January 1 of the current yearState Fair Premier Science AwardThe Premier Science Award is open to any 4-H member with at least one static exhibitselected for State Fair. Exhibitors may select one exhibit from any projectarea/department to complete their awards application. An award application should becompleted and turned in to the county Extension office by August tests/51Culinary Challenge Contest at the State Fair!The 4-H Culinary Challenge Contest will require youth to demonstrate healthy decisionmaking through nutrition, food preparation, menu planning, and food safety; utilizing a foodsand nutrition curriculum. They will apply healthy living knowledge and skills by planning anutritious menu, demonstrating their understanding of time management skills in the kitchen,and expressing their originality and creativity through an appropriate themed and properly set

table. To showcase these skills, youth will create a menu, prepare one food item, and choosean appropriate theme for their occasion while expressing their food, nutrition, and food safetyknowledge during a live interview with a judge at the contest. In order to highlight knowledgeand skills acquired during pre-contest preparation, youth will utilize technology as part of theirinterview.F500097 - Intermediate – ages 10 – 13F500098 - Senior – ages 14 - tests/22The culinary challenge ingredient is Wheat!4-H at the Nebraska State FairAugust 26-September 5, 2022All State Fair in-person exhibits must be enrolled by your family by August 10, 8PM athttps://4h.unl.edu/state-fairThe Nebraska State Fair is the premier opportunity for 4-H members to showcase what theyhave learned and worked on throughout the year. At the State Fair, we celebrate thesuccesses of thousands of youth who have learned and grown through 4-H. The State Fair isa prime opportunity for 4-H members to cultivate skills they have learned in 4-H projects, puttheir life skills and good character to work, discover new areas of interest, and meet newpeople. The Nebraska State Fair is held each year at the Nebraska State Fairgrounds inGrand Island, Nebraska. This year's event will be held from August 24 - September 4, 2022.Visit the Nebraska 4-H State Fair Fairbook for information about 4-H static and animalexhibits, as well as 4-H in-person contests and competitions happening at the State Fair.Additional information and resources are also available for individuals interested in exhibiting4-H livestock, participating in 4-H dog show or skillathon, participating in 4-H contests,volunteering with 4-H, and judging 4-H exhibits.Nebraska 4-H is only one part of the Nebraska State Fair. Orders can be placed using the following link and password. Please remember the opportunity toorder these discounted tickets is for static exhibitors and their families only. The misuse of thisresource may eliminate this opportunity in the future, so please encourage your families not to sharethis link. Note – We can track who ordered tickets and match it with their 4-H participation. There is alimit of 10 tickets per exhibitor. Discount tickets will not be available through the county offices. – DawnStatic Exhibitor Discount Ticket ckPassword:22204-HNote – All livestock exhibitors and in-person event exhibitors (contests, fashion show, presentations,and robotics showcase) will still be able to order discounted tickets when they enter in ShoWorks forState Fair. This year's events will beheld at the Nebraska State Fair on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

All 4-H Dog Show and Skillathon entries must be made in ShoWorks before 8:00 PM CST on August 10.This entry process must be completed by the 4-H exhibitor (or their family).
