Dr Raji AMBIKAIRAJAHBE (UNSW), PhD (UNSWDr Raji Ambikairajah holds a PhD in electrical engineering fromUNSW and is a member of UNSW Council. She has spent most ofher career in the technology start-up and venture capital sectors.As the former Chief Executive Officer of the tech start-up, Folo,she led the launch of a new profit-for-purpose ecommerceplatform which attracted thousands of users and democratisedphilanthropy. Prior to this, Raji was the Chief Operating Officer ofWomen in Banking and Finance where she accelerated theorganisation's growth over a 24-month period to span four citiesin Australia.Raji is an Ambassador for Room to Read, a global non-profitorganisation that provides children in low-income communitieswith access to education. Before this, Raji was Room to Read'sSydney Chapter Leader for seven years. Under her leadership, thechapter reached 116,480 children, grew to be the biggest in theworld in terms of number of volunteers and was in the top fiveglobally for fundraising.Raji is an experienced board director and is currently a NonExecutive Director across a range of boards including the NSWState Library Foundation and the Belvoir Theatre. Raji wasawarded the 2018 NSW Woman of the Year Award in theCommunity Hero category. In 2019, Raji won the Chief ExecutiveWomen scholarship to study strategic innovation at theMassachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.Professor Eileen BaldryDeputy Vice-Chancellor EquityDiversity and InclusionEileen Baldry AO (BA, DipEd, MWP, PhD, FASSA) is Deputy ViceChancellor Equity Diversity and Inclusion and Professor ofCriminology at UNSW Sydney. Professor Baldry has held seniorpositions in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, serving asInterim Dean, Associate Dean Education and Deputy Dean and isappointed the first female Deputy Vice-Chancellor at UNSW. In2021 Eileen was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia(AO) for “distinguished service to tertiary education, tocriminology and social welfare policy, and as an advocate fordiversity, equity and inclusion.Professor Baldry has taught social policy, social developmentand criminology over the past 30 years. Her research andpublications focus on social justice and include mental healthand cognitive disability in the criminal justice system;criminalised women and Indigenous Australian women andyouth; education, training and employment for prisoners and exprisoners; homelessness and transition from prison; Indigenousjustice; Indigenous social work; community development andsocial housing; and disability services.Professor Baldry has been and is a Chief Investigator onnumerous Australian Research Council (ARC), NH&MRC, AHURIand other grants over the past 25 years, contributes toCommissions and Inquiries and has published over 130 peerreviewed books, articles and reports.Page 2

She has been involved in a voluntary capacity with a number ofdevelopment and justice community organisations and iscurrently a Director on the Board of the Public Interest AdvocacyCentre (PIAC). Professor Baldry has served as Chair of a numberof homelessness and justice related committees, is currentlyChair of the NSW Ageing and Disability Commission’s AdvisoryBoard.During her time as Deputy Chair of the Disability Council NSW,Eileen advised the Minister and public authorities on emergingissues relating to people with disability.She was Co-Chair of Universities Australia Executive WomenGroup (UAEW) 2019-2020, a national group providing strategicadvice and high-level guidance to Australian Universities onimproving the representation of women, both academic andprofessional, at executive levels of university leadership andgovernance.Professor Baldry is a Fellow of the Academy of the SocialSciences in Australia and of the Royal Society of NSW, wasawarded the NSW Justice Medal in 2009 and in 2016 was namedin the AFR/Westpac 100 most influential women in Australia.Ms Vera BOYARSKYBA (UNSW)Vera Boyarsky is the Executive Director/Owner of Anka PropertyGroup and has over forty years of experience in thedevelopment industry.Vera brings a unique blend of experience, innovation andentrepreneurship to her role at Anka and oversees the Group’sresidential, retail, hospitality and commercial projects spanningacross the globe. Anka Property Group projects have wonawards in NSW Australia and overseas.Vera’s training and experience have had a major influence onAnka projects, and she oversees the Group’s design, financialstrategy, projects and acquisitions, development and sales,and its dealings with government bodies. Vera is constantlypursuing excellence in her field by keeping abreast of the latesttrends in the development industry.Vera is the winner of the UDIA Women in Leadership Award forexcellence, a UNSW Foundation Board member and sits on theSir John Monash Scholarship Selection Panel. She providesscholarships for undergraduates and graduate students atUNSW in the Built Environment and AGSM, and mentors youngpeople, particularly women, who wish to pursue careers inengineering and other male dominated professions.The Boyarsky family are active philanthropists and supportseveral organisations who assist children and adults in needlocally and internationally. The family are patrons of UNSW, theArt Gallery of NSW, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, AustralianChamber Orchestra, and supporters of medical research at TheGarvan Institute and UTS. They are also involved in The ChoiceFoundation and The Giving Circle to make a difference to thosein the greatest need. Vera is an alumna of UNSW and theSchool of Design at Harvard University.Page 3

Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor, Fiona is amember of UNSW’s Management Board and is accountable for145 staff and for raising 650M in donations.Fiona is a board member of UNSW Global (the university’seducation pathway provider), and over the last five years hassponsored major projects including: the Institute for GlobalDevelopment, the Big Anxiety Festival, the Professional Womenin Leadership program, UNSW’s COVID response plan, as wellas serving on external boards and steering groups including theAustralia India Institute and the Association of Pacific RimUniversities network. In 2019, she was named one of the Top50 marketing leaders in Australia by CMO magazine for hersector-leading work. The work of the Division has also beenrecognised through major industry awards for events, socialmedia, comms campaigns and for international partnershipdevelopment.Prior to UNSW, Fiona worked across the higher education,tourism and FMCG sectors in the UK in director roles advancingsales, marketing, and comms. One of her most formativeleadership experiences was serving on the inauguralcommittee representing the tea trade in the UK, tasked withdeveloping ethical sourcing standards to deal with systemicsupply chain.issues globally – standards that remain in place today. Mr Mark DORNEYBCom LLB (UNSW), FFin, FAICDMark is Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance &Capital Markets in Australia & New Zealand for CITIC CLSACapital Markets, the largest Asian-headquartered investmentbank by market capitalisation.Mark’s previous roles include as an Executive Director ofMacquarie and CEO of Southern Cross Austereo (then knownas Macquarie Media Group) an ASX 200 listed media groupcomprising subscription television, free-to-air television,commercial radio and print media across Australia, GreaterChina and the United States with revenues of 594Mln, 2,900 staff, 31,500 advertising clients and over 10million listeners, viewers and readers.Prior to Macquarie, Mark was Managing Director and Head ofEquity Capital Markets for Australia & New Zealand at N.M.Rothschild & Sons where (amongst other things) he wasproject leader for the landmark 14.3bn and 16bnprivatisations of Telstra 1 and 2 respectively by theCommonwealth Government of Australia, Telstra 1 alone beingthe largest initial public offering ever conducted in Australia.Mark is a former Director of House With No Steps (and Chair ofits Asset Management Review Committee) and currently ViceChairman of the Australia Taiwan Business Council.Mr Stuart FULLERBCom, LLB (UNSW)Stuart is Global Head of Legal Services for KPMG Internationaland is also its Asia Pacific Regional Leader for Legal Services.In those roles, he leads a team of more than 2,400 legalprofessionals across 79 jurisdictions in KPMG’s global legalservices network.Prior to joining KPMG in March 2018, Stuart was the inauguralGlobal Managing Partner of King & Wood Mallesons, based inHong Kong, having led the combination of those law firms in2012. Stuart was a partner at King & Wood Mallesons for 20years, first practising as a capital markets, securitisation andfinancial markets regulatory expert, and then holding a numberof management and leadership roles across the firm and thecapital markets industry in Australia.Stuart is a director of the Asia Society Australia and a memberof the UNSW Law Advisory Council. Dr Daniel GAUCHATBCom (UNSW), MBA (INSEAD),HonDUniv (UNSW),AICDDaniel Gauchat is a Founding Partner of The Adelante Group,which provides CEO and Senior Executive leadershipdevelopment mentoring services.Until the end of 2006, he was a Senior Client Partner and Headof Global Consumer/Life Sciences Markets, Australasia in theSydney office of Korn/Ferry International. Dr Gauchat joinedthe firm in 1999, previously having been an Equity Partner withanother major search firm AMROP International. In 1995, DrGauchat became Vice- Chairman of the company’sinternational Board and Executive Committee, and in 1997, hewas appointed Chairman for a two-year period.Prior to his career in the executive search industry, Dr Gauchatheld several senior management positions at Société Generalede Surveillance (SGS), including Senior Vice President andDirector of the SGS Group in Switzerland, Chief ExecutiveOfficer of SGS Spain, SGS Thailand and SGS Indonesia, as wellas General Manager of SGS in Japan. Before joining SGS, DrGauchat worked for Grace Industrial Chemicals in Europe andas Operations Manager for the Coca-Cola Export Corporationin Australia.Dr Gauchat has an MBA from INSEAD, a Bachelor of Commerce(Merit) from UNSW, and an AICD Diploma (Merit). He has beenawarded a Doctor of UNSW for services to the community andthe University.Dr Gauchat was the President of the Australasian AdvisoryCouncil of INSEAD for 10 years and is a company member ofWinifred West Schools. He was the founding Chairman of theUNSW Medicine Advisory Council and is a member of theDean's Circle.Mr Nicholas GRAYBCom, LLB (UNSW)Nicholas Gray is Managing Director of The Australian, NSW &Prestige Titles. He was appointed CEO of The Australian in 2013and has been responsible for top and bottom line improvementsfuelled by digital subscription growth and an expanded focus ondigital products. His role expanded to include the Prestige Titles(Vogue, Vogue Living and GQ) in 2018 and all NSW titles (TheDaily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and Community titlessuch as The Wentworth Courier) in 2019. He first joined NewsCorp in 2012 following the acquisition of Business Spectator.Before this Nicholas was CFO / Strategy Director and thenNational Sales Director at ninemsn. Prior to this, Nicholasworked on corporate strategy at Lion Nathan and was aninvestment banker at Citigroup in London and Tokyo andMacquarie in Sydney. Nicholas is Chairman of Medium Rare anda non-executive director of Society One. He has also previouslyheld non-executive director positions at the InteractiveAdvertising Bureau (IAB), iSelect and 3P Learning (Mathletics).Nicholas graduated from UNSW in 1997 with a BCom / LLB andremains involved with the University as a non-executivedirector of the UNSW Foundation board and Campaign Cabinet,and a Business School Alumni Leader.Page 6

Dr Grant KINGHonDEng (UNSW), BE (Civil)(UNSW), MMgt (UOW), FAICDGrant King has extensive experience in the Australian energyindustry. Grant was Managing Director of Origin Energy Limitedfrom February 2000 until October 2016. Prior to Origin, Grantserved as Managing Director of Boral Energy from 1994 toFebruary 2000.Prior to joining Boral, Grant was General Manager AGL GasCompanies, where he held a number of management positionsover a 17-year period.He is a Fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors andPresident of the Business Council of Australia (BCA) andpreviously served as Chair of the BCA Infrastructure andSustainability Committee. He is former Director of AustralianPetroleum Production and Exploration Association Limited(APPEA), Envestra Limited, former C hairman of Energy SupplyAssociation of Australia (ESAA) and former Chairman of OilCompany of Australia. Grant is also former Chairman of ContactEnergy Limited.Grant has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University ofNew South Wales and a Master of Management from theUniversity of Wollongong.He completed the Advanced Management Program atAdministrative Staff College, Mt Eliza (now the University ofMelbourne Business School) in 1988.Grant is married to Jennifer and has two sons and one daughter.Ms Melanie KURZYDLOBIA (UNSW)Melanie Kurzydlo is the Director, Strategy and BusinessRelations at Growthbuilt where she partners with CEO’s andexecutives to lead strong teams of industry professionals in theProperty, Development and Construction Industry. Drawingupon her strong knowledge of multiple industry sectors,Melanie currently drives the effective implementation ofGrowthbuilt’s Business Development and Growth Strategy andhas done so since early 2017 where she holds a leading role onthe Senior Executive Team as the Director of Strategy andBusiness Relations.Melanie’s passion and drive to support organisations that alignwith her own is key to her success. Melanie continually drivesdiversity and change within the industry and has been a memberof the Property Council of Australia since 2015 and currentlysits on the PCA Diversity Committee (since 2018). She is also aboard member of CoreNet Global Australia (since 2018), aBoard member of the Giants (GWS) Foundation and a drivingforce of Interbuild, the first LGBTI property group to raiseawareness of related topics within the industry. A strongadvocate for educating the younger generation, Melanieparticipates in mentoring through both formal and informalprogrammes and prides herself on her authentic and genuinecommunication style.A winner of the 2019 NAWIC (National Association of Womenin Construction) Crystal Vision Award for the advancements ofWomen and other diverse groups. development and construction industry in areas of Women,LGBTI , Reconciliation, Mental Health, Age and Culture andfirmly believes progression and impactful change all starts andfinishes with education.Mrs Christine MargaretMcNAMEE LIDDY AOBA (UNSW), FAICDChristine McNamee Liddy is a former Board Member and PastPresident of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (SouthEastern Section) and a Former National Vice-President of theRFDS. She is Board member of the Australasian Gastro –Intestinal Trials Group (GI Cancer Institute) and is also on theBoard of the Gastro- Intestinal Cancer Institute of New Zealand.She is a Board Member of the Dame Pattie Menzies Foundation.Christine was the Founder of All Purpose Indoor Plant Hire,which she owned and ran for thirty seven years before selling toa multinational in 2010. She remains a Partner in AustralianPlantscapes. She is also a Council Member of the Friends of theSydney International Piano Competition and an Advisory BoardMember of the Mosman Art Gallery and Cultural Centre and aformer member of the Capital Campaign Committee of theState Library of NSW. Christine is a formerChairman of St John’s College within the University of Sydneyand she is a fellow of SJC and remains a member of Council.Mrs Alison MIRAMSB Build (UTS), Grad Dip UEM (UTS)Alison Mirams is the founding Chief Executive Officer ofboutique tier one construction company, Roberts Co. Thecompany was founded in January 2017 and within the first twoyears had a workbook of 600m. Alison is deeply passionateabout addressing the systemic issues that exist in theconstruction industry and attracting and retaining more womenin the industryAlison has always worked in the construction industry. Prior toRoberts Co, Alison led the NSW/ACT regional business unit forLendlease’s Building business for nearly three years. Prior tojoining Lendlease, Alison enjoyed a successful sixteen-yearcareer at Multiplex, rising from contracts administrator toregional director.Alison chairs the Advisory Council for UNSW Faculty of the BuiltEnvironment and is on the Advisory Board of Aero PM. Alison’sformer roles include Director of the Australian Steel Instituteand a member of the Board of Advisors for Property IndustryFoundation. Alison received the Laing O’Rourke BusinessWoman of the Year award at the 2018 NAWIC NSW Awards forExcellence. Mr Bruce MORGANBCom (UNSW), FCA, FAICDBruce Morgan is the Chairman of Sydney Water and TransportAsset Holding Entity of New South Wales (TAHE), DeputyChairman of the European Australian Business Council (EABC),a Director of Origin Energy and Redkite and a former Director ofCaltex.Bruce has extensive business experience as a Non-ExecutiveDirector including water, energy and transport fuel industriesand from his executive career with specific experience in thefinancial services, energy and mining sectors, leading some ofPricewaterhouse Coopers’ (PwC) most significant clients inAustralia and internationally.Bruce was the Chairman of the Australian PwC Board for sixyears until 2012 and was a member of the PwC InternationalBoard for four years. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Commerce(Accounting and Finance) from University of NSW (UNSW) andis an Adjunct Professor at UNSW. He is a Fellow of CharteredAccountants Australia and New Zealand and the AustralianInstitute of Company Directors (AICD).Mr Tim OLSENBEd (UNSW)Tim Olsen is one of Australia’s most recognised and respectedart identities and successful gallery owners. Son of Australia’snational living treasure, artist Dr John Olsen, A.O. O.B.E., Olsenwas born into alife of modern and contemporary art, and throughfortitude and adversity has forged his own path, successfulcareer and has becomea highly recognised Australian over thepast three decades.Tim Olsen has also worked in and managed many leading ArtGallerie including Rex Irwin Art Gallery, Woollahra; AustralianGalleries, Collingwood and Paddington; and Roslyn Oxley9Gallery, Paddington. He established his own Gallery in 1993,which has rapidly expanded over 25 years to become one ofSydney’s leading galleries today. He has also representedAustralian art in countless art fairs around the world.In 2017 Olsen launched Olsen Gruin Gallery in the Lower EastSide of New York City alongside its two existing spaces inSydney. Olsen not only has supported the careers of many ofAustralia’s leading established artists but also has nurtured thecreative lives of many emerging artists who can presentlyinclude themselves as being very much part of the eminent artestablishment today. He has published books and producedshort films to further the careers and understandings of artists.Representing over 40 artists, Olsen has established himself as aleade in Modern and Contemporary Art, with a client baseextending throughout Australia and internationally. He has beena foundation member of the AGNSW and on the board of UNSWArt & Design for over 15 years, representative of his broadinterest and care for the University as a whole.Page 9

As a creative businessvisionary, he was recently invited to join EO (EntrepreneursOrganisation) a selecte forum of leading entrepreneurs. Tim isalso a long term contributor to the AGNSW FoundationRestoration Department. He is publishing his first memoir thisyear.Mr Simon POIDEVIN AM OAMBSc (Hons) (UNSW)Simon is currently the President of Australia and NewZealand at Total Brain Limited. Simon has worked in GlobalFinancial Markets for over 37 years, most recently atAustralian full-service broking firm Bell Potter as ManagingDirector of Corporate Broking. Prior to Bell Potter, Simonwas an Executive Director at Pengana Capital, an Australianbased Absolute Return Funds Management company.Simon worked 14 years with Citigroup, culminating inheading the firm's Corporate Equity Broking division inAustralia as a Managing Director. Simon was appointed asa Non-Executive Director for Stealth Global Holdings Ltd andWAM Active Ltd in 2021.Simon represented Australia in Rugby Union from 1980 to1992, captaining the Wallabies in 1986 and 1987, becoming thefirst Wallaby to play 50 test matches. In total, he played 59 testmatches including 21 against the New Zealand All Blacks- arecord at the time for an Australian forward. In 1991 Simon wasa member of thefirst Wallaby team to win the Rugby World Cup.Simon is currently the President of the Classic Wallabies, theliving heritage of Australian Rugby which encompasses allplayers who have been selected to play for the Wallabies.Simon was awarded an OAM in 1988, The Centenary Medal in2003 and was awarded the Member (AM) in the GeneralDivision of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 2018. Hewas inducted into the Australian Hall of Fame in 1991 and intothe Australian Rugby Hall of Fame in 2014.Simon co-founded the establishment of the “Lexcen SportsScholarships” in 1988 - the first sports scholarship programintroduced into an Australian University. The “Lexcen SportsScholarships” program has supported over 225 UNSW EliteAthletessince its creation, 23 of whom have become Olympians.He holds a Blue in Rugby Union from UNSW and is a member ofboth the UNSWSporting Hall of Fame and the UNSW Faculty ofScience Hall of Fame. He received the UNSW Alumni Award in1990. Simon was appointed as Chairman of the UNSW SportsAdvisory Council in 2018.Page 10

Professor Laura POOLE-WARRENAMBSc (Hons) UNSW, PhD UNSW,FBSE, FAIMBE, FTSELaura Poole‐Warren is a Professor of Biomedical Engineeringand leads a research group in biomaterials and tissueEngineering at UNSW Sydney. Laura was elected as a Fellowof the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences andEngineering in 2017, the American Institute for Medical andBiological Engineering in 2015, and the International Union ofBiomaterials Science and Engineeringin 2012.Laura has extensive experience with both Government andindustry. During her decade‐long membership of theAustralian Commonwealth Statutory Advisory Committee onMedical Devices up to 2013, she advised the AustralianTherapeutic Goods Administration on safety of medicaldevices. Laura has also worked in the biomedical industry,spending 2 years as a preclinical scientist in the USA from1999 to 2001 in a start‐up focused on development ofimplantable devices including wound dressings and embolicagents for cancer treatment.Laura is an Associate Editor of the journal Biomaterials, on theEditorial Board of the Journal of Neural Engineering and isalso Secretary for the Biomaterials Science and EngineeringCollege of Fellows. Laura has broad leadership experiencethrough her past roles as Pro Vice-Chancellor at UNSW, Chairof the Group of Eight Deans of Graduate Research andConvenor of the Australian Council of Graduate Research.Laura also led the team responsible for reporting on theuniversity’s plans for achieving gender balance in STEMMwhich culminated in 2018, in UNSW receiving an AthenaSWAN Bronze award.Laura is an alumna of UNSW, having been awarded withboth a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a PhD degree fromthe institution.Laura was made a Member of the Order ofAustralia (AM) in 2020.Mr Julian REYNOLDSBCom (Hons) (UNSW), MBA(Stanford), MSAAJulian Reynolds is a founder and Director of ReynoldsSecurities Pty Ltd - a member firm of the MorgansStockbroking and Financial Planning Group.He has been actively involved in the Australian securitiesindustry for the past 49 years and specialises in privateclient investment advice. During this time Julian has servedon the Boards of both Public Companies and Charitableorganisations.Julian has been a UNSW Business School Alumni Leader atUNSW since 2005. He is the author ofmany books including ‘Visual Artists and the Law’, ‘Discoveryand Interrogatories’, ‘Music Business’, and Collections Law:Legal Issuesfor Australian Archives, Galleries, Libraries andMuseums’. She provides scholarships for undergraduates and graduate students at UNSW in the Built Environment and AGSM, and mentors young people, particularly women, who wish to pursue careers in engineering and other male dominated professions.
