Reporting directly to the ViceChancellor, Fiona is a member of UNSW’s Management Board and isaccountable for 145 staff and for raising 650M in donations.Fiona is a board member of UNSW Global (theuniversity’s education pathway provider), and over the last five years hassponsored major projects including: the Institute for GlobalDevelopment, the Big Anxiety Festival, the Professional Women inLeadership program, UNSW’s COVID response plan, as well as servingon external boards and steering groups including the Australia IndiaInstitute and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities network. In2019, she was named one of the Top 50 marketing leaders in Australiaby CMO magazine for her sector-leading work. Mr Andrew PEARCEUNSW Alumnus, BCom 1988Head of Operational Strategy and Business Re-engineering, ThomsonReutersAndrew has succeeded as a senior executive in large companies and asan entrepreneur and he brings a unique perspective to leadership, withover 25 years international experience, leading businesses in financialservices, technology and business consulting across Asia, the UK andAustralia.In his current role at Thomson Reuters he leads the enterprisetransformation activities designed to simplify the business enablingimprovements in customer and employee experience. Prior to joiningThomson Reuters, Andrew, spent 12 years in the banking sector mostrecently in executive roles with HSBC. He is based in the UK.Andrew is a graduate of UNSW with a BCom he also has an EMBA fromKellogg Business School, Northwestern University and is a CharteredAccountant and Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.Ms Melinda ROYLETTUNSW Alumna, BCom 2003Melinda was previously the General Manager, UK/EMEA at Uber from2019 – June 2020. Prior to this, Melinda led the European business atSquare joining the company in 2018. She oversaw a range of businessfunctions including sales, marketing, business development,partnerships and strategy.Before joining Square, Melinda worked for PayPal, where she wasresponsible for managing the Small and Medium Business segmentacross Europe, Middle East and Africa. Over nearly 10 years at PayPal,Melinda spearheaded many innovations including PayPal's mobile instore and app products, servicing and consumer checkout experiences.Previously, Melinda worked as a Senior Manager at Lloyd’s TSB andprior to that was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group.Melinda holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws from theUniversity of New South Wales, Australia and an MBA awarded jointly byColumbia and London Business School.This year, Melinda was awarded in the Senior Leaders category ofInnovate Finance’s Top 150 Women in Finance Powerlist. Mr Andrew RUBIO (Deputy Chair)UNSW Alumnus, BCom 1984Non-Executive Chairman, ThrogmortonAndrew Rubio co-founded Throgmorton in 2002 and recently steppeddown as Chief Executive Officer of the company, although he remainson the Board as a Non-Executive Chairman. Throgmorton’s clientsinclude more than 350 hedge fund managers, private equity firms andother financial services businesses both in the UK and the US, providingthem with accounting, tax, payroll and HR services on an outsourcedbasis. Additionally, Andrew now advises start-up businesses in a varietyof sectors.During his career in investment banking Andrew worked for SalomonBrothers, Bankers Trust, NatWest Global Financial Markets and CreditSuisse First Boston.Ms Melinda WALLMANUNSW Alumna, BA 1990 LLB 1992Partner, Mlegal Group, Inc.Melinda is a Partner in Mlegal’s London office. Her primary focus is therecruitment of partners into AmLaw 100 and top 20 UK law firms. Shealso helps corporations and investment funds to recruit general counseland other senior lawyers. Melinda is an expert in diversity recruiting andtreats every search as a diversity search.Melinda is the founder of the London and Hong Kong offices of Major,Lindsey & Africa (MLA). She led the firm's international expansion until2009 and more recently was in charge of the firm's EMEA (Europe, theMiddle East and Africa) Partner Practice Group. Melinda specialises insenior level search on behalf of law firms, financial institutions, fundsand multinational companies in London and internationally. She hasparticular expertise assisting law firms and corporate law departmentsto expand internationally and has opened offices for law firms inLondon, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore.Prior to joining MLA in New York in 1999, Melinda practised corporatelaw at Gilbert & Tobin in Sydney before commencing her search career.Melinda completed part of her UNSW degree on a DAAD scholarship atthe Freie Universitaet in Berlin.Page 4

Mr Damian WALSHUNSW Alumnus, BCom 1979Partner, Savannah GroupDamian is a London based Chartered Accountant, ManagementConsultant and Non-Executive Director with more than thirty-five yearsinternational experience.He is a Partner and Head of the Board Advisory Practice at SavannahGroup, a pre-eminent leadership advisory and executive search firmbased in London. Damian is Chairman of the Britain-Australia Societyand Chairman of the Australian Chamber Orchestra UK Board. From2008-2018, he was a non-executive director of Arqiva Limited and, from2007-2019, Damian was a non-executive director of the Australia – UKChamber of Commerce. Damian writes extensively on boardeffectiveness and corporate governance matters.Damian enjoyed a long career as a Partner with Ernst & Young (now EY),variously based in Sydney, New York and London before taking seniorroles in management consulting advising some of the world’s largestcompanies. Immediately before joining Savannah Group, Damian was aPartner in the CEO & Board Practice at Heidrick & Struggles.Damian holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University ofNew South Wales.
