Slim earned his doctoral degree in1998 and the habilitation followed in 2001. Both were granted from theUniversity of Munich. Prof. Dr Ehab El RefaeeCairo UniversityProf. Dr med El Refaee is a German board-certified neurosurgeonworking as a consultant neurosurgeon at Cairo University. During hisstudies in Neuroendoscopy in Germany, he completed his doctoratedegree on the topic of hemifacial spasm. After his return to Egypt, hestarted working as an academic and clinical coordinator for the CairoGreifswald-Fellowship a cooperative project between the Faculty ofMedicine of the Cairo University and the University MedicineGreifswald. With the support of his team, he developed the“Neuroendoscopy Fellowship” which offers a blended learning tool foryoung neurosurgeons. This team has published several internationalstudies and is still working on other topics in several research lines.Prof. Dr El Refaee is investing his time to keep the connection betweenthe two cities and working on numerous research and surgical trainingtasks. He joined Brainlabin 2021 for a clinical research project in Düsseldorf, where he iscurrently working on Mixed Reality and 5G technologyDr Heba AzouzCairo UniversityDr Heba Azouz, is the first female neurosurgery to get her masterdegree from Ain-shams university. Currently working in achieving herMD degree in Cairo university, working in 57357 children cancerhospital. Additionally, she is a surgical illustrator.Dr Mohamed SolimanCairo UniversityDr Mohamed Amin Soliman is a Lecturer in the Department ofNeurosurgery at Cairo University. He earned his master's degree inNeurosurgery in 2015 and a Neurosurgery Medical Doctorate degree in2018. During his Neurosurgery post-graduate training at CairoUniversity, he did electives in Dalhousie and Western University inCanada with an excellent evaluation followed by 3 years fellowship inWestern University. He has a particular interest in spinal surgery,endovascular neurosurgery, and hydrocephalus. He has lecturednationally and internationally in different well-recognizedconferences. He has been listed as a top teaching resident at CairoUniversity in 2014. Furthermore, in 2020 he was awarded by WesternUniversity the Angelika F. Hahn Award for excellence in clinicalteaching and by the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) theJournal of Neuro-oncology best abstract award. She joined the Neurosurgeryresidency training program at El Sheikh Zayed Specialized Hospital in2016 and then joined the departments of Neurosurgery at theUniversity of Arkansas for Medical Sciences/Arkansas Children’sHospital, and University of Iowa as a research fellow in 2017. She wasadmitted as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in2018. She has a strong interest in academic Neurosurgery and haspublished a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals. Sandro KriegTechnische Universität München (TUM)Prof. Dr Sandro Krieg currently serves as Managing Senior Consultantat Klinikum rechts der Isar and is Professor of Neurosurgery at TUMunich. After studies in Munich, Boston, London and San Diego, hefinished his residency in Munich. During residency, he also acquired anMBA at HNU and UCLA School of Public Health and had a research leaveat UCSF to deepen his focus on research on eloquent brainlesion.Clinically, his subspecialties are surgical neurooncology,vascular neurosurgery and complex spine. His current scientific focusis on brain mapping, awake surgery and neurophysiologicaltechnologies. He serves as associate Editor of Frontiers in Oncology(Neuro-Oncology and Neurosurgical Oncology) and is member of theeditorial board of Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery. Within theEANS he serves as Member of the EANS Young NeurosurgeonsCommittee, was an IM delegate from 2016-2020 and is currentlyheading the Academy Task Force putting up the new EANS teachingportal.Dr Roxanne LofrediCharité – University Clinic BerlinDr med. Roxanne Lofredi, is a senior PostDoc under supervision of Prof.Andrea A. Kühn and neurology resident at Charité –Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Previously, she worked with Prof.Desdemona Fricker at the Brain and Spine Institute in Paris and Prof.Peter Brown at the University Oxford.
