That’s whereshe discovered her passion forhealthcare.Virgilina then completed thePersonal Care Attendant (PCA)program and is currently takingExtended Learning GED classes.She is close to attaining her highschool equivalency and becoming aCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA).Virgilina plans to use her skillsprofessionally. And, she realizedthat the lessons learned inhealthcare courses are useful ineveryday life. Virgilina says, “We alltake care of our family members orfriends at some point.Bouncing Back Better Than Ever.After being laid-off from a job that she had held for 16 years, Brenda Lopez decided thatit was time to go back to school. Though nervous about the amount of work, she enrolledin School of Extended Learning’s tuition-free Medical Assistant Training program.Extended Learning changed Brenda’s life for the better.
