DATA ROOM UNITSThe Moducel rangeof high efficiencyData Room Units, aredesigned for highdensity load areaswhere a large coolingduty is required from acompact footprint, butwithout compromisingthe critical applicationof data centre cooling.This downflow range of airconditioning units are available inDX air cooled, water cooled orchilled water media with optionalglycol cooling. All configurationshave energy reduction features aswell as heating or humidificationoptions.The DRU Range has been designedaround a modular frame and paneldesign providing maximum unitstrength as well as all round accesswhere applicable. However, allmaintenance and service has beendesigned for front access onlywhere site restrictions dictate.The units are designed to takereturn air at a high level which isthen filtered and conditionedbefore being discharged via thebase fan section located in theventilated raised floor.FeaturesMultiple high efficiency direct drivefans provide even, efficient airsupply and inherent redundancy.Alternatively, the units can be fittedwith speed controllable EC fans.All DX units are supplied with twincompressor 4-stage cooling, whilstchilled water units provide stepless0 to 100% cooling. CONTROLLERThe DRU is fitted with a fully programmable unitarycontroller complete with display/user interface. Thecontroller monitors the temperature and relativehumidity of the return air and activates coolinghumidification or dehumidification to provide preciseand efficient conditioning of the supply air.Additionally, the controller monitors the in-built safetydevices of the unit which constantly ensure thehealthy state of key components. In the unlikely eventof a component malfunction the item is automaticallyisolated to enable the plant to continue running, andan alarm signal will be generated.Control Features Fully programmable. Energy saving control strategies.Monitored Information and Alarm PointsWhere required, multiple units can be networkedtogether to provide group or run/standy control.
