Director’s NoteOof, what a week it's been. What a year. This is a verysilly show, so I'm afraid it won't solve the issues thathave plagued 2020 and made it feel like a uniquelyterrible year. (Has it been a uniquely terrible year? Upfor debate!) I hope this show will provide the distractionwe deserve from hitting refresh on CNN waiting forNevada's results. (The producer needed me to writethis before Saturday, so maybe this Nevada joke isalready dated. Maybe something crazy has happenedsince I wrote this. No spoilers, please.)I sincerely appreciate you joining us tonight, I think thatyou've made a responsible choice. We might be tiredof it, but we are still in the midst of a global pandemic.By choosing to stay home and watch our production, you are reducing the number of people out and abouton a Saturday night. Maybe we should start a twoweek long theatre festival that'll keep everyone homewatching, and then the pandemic will be over?Sorry, sorry, you came here for a fun time and here Iam talking about the election and COVID-19. I'll stop!Allow me to leave you with this: take the next twohours to laugh and relax, and then walk awayrecharged and ready to continue fighting for the worldwe want to see.Dylan A.
