In thespirit of Spelman, chapters ignored the weather and celebrated the137th Founders Day of our alma mater. We know that our April Founders Dayis a countdown to Reunion/Commencement Weekend! As we prepare for our journey back to our beloved alma mater, let’sremember, in sisterhood, our commitment to Spelman. In the spirit of all thatshe has brought us, let us return to campus respecting her traditions byremembering three things:Journal of Sisterhood, May 2018

First, I stress the importance of being a member of NAASC. Please join and encourage yourclassmates to do so. A strong NAASC ensures that traditions will continue to live! By becoming amember of NAASC, you help us provide a legacy of academic excellence and sisterhood that issecond to none. Please also plan to join us on Saturday, May 19th for the Annual Meeting andLuncheon. We will take care of business and welcome several new and reactivated chapters.Secondly, please show your best example by continuing the White Dress Tradition, wearingappropriate white attire with your hose and closed-toe black shoes, so that our little sistersunderstand the importance of our solidarity. Ladies of the 3’s and 8’s – I am depending on you tolead us through our beloved Arch looking fabulous in our beautiful uniform! Finally, don’t forget your class gift! You may designate it to the NAASC Donald & Isabel StewartEndowed Student Scholarship. Spelman students always appreciate our support.Celebrating True Blue Sisterhood,Tara L.
