It’s Nice to Look Amazing with So Little Effort Tarkett FiberFloor Care and MaintenanceTo ensure the best performance and quality of your new floor follow these basic steps: o not replace furniture and refrain from heavy traffic for D24 hours after installation in fully adhered applications.Protect sealed seams for 24 hours after application. Close drapes or blinds during peak sunlight hours tominimize repeated sunlight exposure and to minimizefading, bleaching and discoloration. When moving heavy furniture or appliances, use extremecaution and move using plywood, hardwood or Luanplywood panels to avoid damage. Select area rugs/mats carefully to avoid staining fromrubber backings and dyes. Full adhesion is recommended for commercialapplications and in residential applications where heavyrolling loads are present. Use proper rests, glides and casters on furnitureas the recommended stationary load is 75 lbs per squareinch. Small narrow furniture rests should be replacedwith wider, smooth, non-staining, protective load-bearingdevices (at least 1" square or 1-1/8" diameter per50-75lbs). D o not walk on the floor with narrow-heeled shoes whichwill cause permanent indention that is not covered underthe warranty. rotect the floor against heat emissions from refrigerators Pand other appliances by keeping them clean and free ofdust around motors and exhaust areas. The airflow offorced-air heating systems should be directed away fromthe floor. Over time heat can cause discoloration.FiberFloor requires little maintenance and should Tarkett be swept/vacuumed regularly (using a vacuum withouta beater bar) followed by routine cleaning with waterand a neutral cleaner. To minimize damage to the floor,immediately treat all stains and spills. When usingadhesion, Tarkett recommends the use of QBOND-ONE forpermanent and tacky/releasable applications for all sheetproducts.For loose lay or floating installations use Tarkett’s floatingseam tape S-875 or S-860 (over concrete) which allows formultiple seams and no room size restrictions, unique onlyto Tarkett. Finish off the seams with DT-65 seam sealer forboth PVC and Urethane Finishes.
