Several pens over 95 and to a top of 96.20 from two vendors Ken and Mike Hill for 44.6 kilos andthe Bromell Family, Bradworthy for 49 kilos.243 HOGGSA faster trade across the board, the well fleshed hoggs saw several pens over 89 and to a top of 91 from JoStoneman, Ventown.438 DRAFT EWES & RAMSA much larger entry met a flying trade forall weights and breeds, overall average of 71.05. Top on the day was 112 forGeorge and Liz Metherell, Lewdown. Mulesup to 81 and hill bred ewes to 67.COUPLES – 93 EWES & 130 LAMBSA few less couples on offer but the trade wasstill very strong, top on the day was 180from three vendors. Singles reached 170 fora bunch of Suffolk x Mule hogg singles fromJim Mann, Higher Winscott.

250 STORE CATTLE - 11amAuctioneer: David Kivell – 07899 960272Another flyer with a huge attendance of buyers, several qualityconsignments of cattle to include the annual consignment of 60superb single suckled 12 month old Limousin steers and heifersfrom Mr Simon Axford, Ashwater whose 34 steers averaged 990 topping at 1030 and 25 heifers averaged 900 to 950.32 Well farmed 13 – 17 month old Dairy x Charolais steersand heifers from Mr SA Kirk, Heanton Barton also saw somefierce bidding with the best 13 – 15 month old Charolais steersto 1015 and heifers to 955. Quality 13 month old singlesuckled Limousins and Simmentals from Mr R Pillman, CrabbeFarm sold very well to 1135 with others at 1095.Shapely Continentals sold extremely well topping at 1270 fora 19 month old Limousin from Kim Davey, Lewdown closelyfollowed by 1230 from Mr Mike Kirby, Milton Damerel.
