The National AnthemOh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro’ the perilous fightO’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming. And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air,Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.Oh, say, does that star-spangled banner yet waveO’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?Pittsburg State UniversityAlma MaterOn the plains of Southeast Kansas,‘Neath an ever cloudless sky,Far away from surging ocean,And the storm-bird’s plaintive cry; With her prairies rolling Westward,Where the buffalo once were great,With her ensign proudly waving,Stands our own Pittsburg State.RefrainLet us greet the Gold and CrimsonWith a strong and cordial cheer,Let our hearts be ever loyalTo our Alma Mater dear.Pittsburg State University Brass QuintetDr. Carol Deats, Horn, Associate Professor, Pittsburg State UniversityDr. Todd Hastings, Trumpet, University Professor, Pittsburg State UniversityMr. Robert Kehle, Trombone, Professor, Pittsburg State UniversityDr. A.
