Alpha is foreveryone: the lifelong practicingCatholic, the non-practicing Catholic,Christians in other communities, non-Christians,agnostics, and even atheists. The program creates aspace for everyone to be where they are and to considerthe basic proclamation of the Gospel in a new way. Starting on Wednesday, August 16th, daily Massescelebrated on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday willbe at 9:00 a.m. Also, our First Saturday Mass will beat 9:00 a.m. with Confessions, beginning at 8:15 a.m.Starting on the weekend of September 16-17, ourSunday Mass schedule will be as follows: the SundayVigil Mass (Saturday Evening Mass) will remain at 5:00p.m., Sunday Masses will be at 8:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m.,and 5:00 p.m. We are moving the 10:30 a.m. Mass to10:45 a.m., to allow more time for CCD, RCIA, and otherprograms that we want to run “between the Masses.” Iam hoping to also provide more variety in the expressionof music at our Masses. The Sunday Evening Masswill have music drawn from the Charismatic Renewalor Contemporary Christian Music. This will take sometime for us to develop this new music ministry. Also, Iam hoping that our 10:45 a.m. Mass will go deeper inthe repertoire of Sacred Music. This too will take sometime. I made these changes after consulting our FinanceCommittee, Liturgy and Spiritual Life Committee, andour Renewal Committee. There was a strong consensusfrom all members that these changes would be good forour parish at this time.Scott Hahn Biography: Dr. Scott Hahn was born in1957, and has been married to Kimberly since 1979.
