PNMMAN1902PNM IT801 User ManualJob Opened: February 1, 2019Requested In-Home Date: FebruaryLatest Revision: April 5, 2019Approved:Step 2: ProgrammingA. Suggested Thermostat SettingsYour new thermostat makes it easy for you to save on heating and cooling costs by regulating your home’s temperature based onthe activities of the household. The key is to establish a program that reduces heating and cooling in your home when you don'tneed as much. Talk with other household members to determine their comfort level and set your thermostat according toeveryone’s schedule. Here is a sample schedule from ENERGY STAR :TimeSetpoint Temperature(Heat)Setpoint Temperature(Cool)Wake6:00 a.m. 70 F 75 FDay8:00 a.m.Setback at least 8 FSetup at least 5 FEvening6:00 p.m. 70 F 75 FSleep10:00 p.m.Setback at least 8 FSetup at least 4 FSettingAttention Heat Pump Users: big changes in temperature settings can cause your heat pump to operate in auxiliary mode, a moreenergy-intensive heat recovery process. This can increase your winter energy bills. If you use temperature setbacks for your heatingsystem, only set back the temperature by 2 degrees or less to avoid higher energy costs.SettingTimeSetpoint Temperature(Heat)Setpoint Temperature(Cool)Morning6:00 a.m.7075Day8:00 a.m.6880Evening6:00 p.m.7075Night10:00 p.m.6880B. Thermostat StagesThe Wi-Fi web-programmable thermostat displays up to four stages of heat or cooling. If you have a heat pump, there could be as many as four stages of heat. The first stage is the compressor operating and Stage 1 willappear on the thermostat screen. There may be up to three other stages – 2, 3, 4 – depending on how much additional heat isneeded to meet the temperature setpoint. If you see Stage 2, 3, or 4 in addition to Stage 1 on the thermostat home screen, your heatpump is using a more energy-intensive auxiliary or secondary heating source to meet the temperature setpoint. If you have a gas furnace, there could be two stages of heat. These stages are low and high fire. If additional heat is needed to reachthe temperature setpoint, Stage 2 will display in addition to Stage 1 on the thermostat home screen. Some air conditioning units have more than one stage of cooling. This could be a low and high speed on a variable speed compressor,or a first and second compressor if there are multiple compressors. If additional cooling is needed to reach the temperature setpoint,Stage 2 will display in addition to Stage 1 on the thermostat home screen.6PNM Wi-Fi Web-Programmable Thermostat User’s ManualLETTER8.5” X 11”PNMMAN1902–PNM IT801 User ManualPiece: ManualQuantity: XXXXXSize: 8.5 x 11”Colors: 4/4Finishing: Fold, TrimMail: N/ACREATIVEDIRECTORPROOFREADER Program Specific ChecklistCOPYSUPERVISORCOPYWRITERPhone NumberURLProgram AGER
