SECTION 2SECTION 2GENESIS ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMCOVERAGEo If your vehicle has been diagnosed by an authorized Retailerof Genesis Branded Products and if the reason for thedisablement is a warrantable issue, please contact GenesisCustomer Care's toll-free number at 844-340-9741 to requestreimbursement.o Examples of non-warranty-related tows would includeaccidents or any other tow incident that is not the result of adefect in materials or workmanship.o Trip Interruption Benefit: In the event a warrantablemechanical disablement occurs more than 150 miles awayfrom home, and your vehicle is disabled overnight due to arepair in process, Genesis Roadside Assistance will reimburseyou for reasonable expenses for meals, lodging, or alternatetransportation. Trip Interruption Benefit is limited to 200 perday, subject to a five day maximum limit per incident.o Incidental or Consequential Damages, including withoutlimitation, Loss of Time, Inconvenience, Loss of Use of thevehicle, or Commercial Loss are not covered under thisProgram.The Genesis Roadside Assistance Program provides you withthe following services:o National Retailer of Genesis Branded Products LocatorService provides you with the location or phone numberof Authorized Retailers of Genesis Branded Products orAuthorized Service Facilities in the United States.o Roadside Events are defined as either:1. SECTION 4SECTION 4GENESIS NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTYWARRANTY TRANSFERABILITYJUDGMENT OF ALL WARRANTY MATTERSThe New Vehicle Limited, Anti-Perforation Limited, EmissionsPerformance, Emissions Design and Defect, EmissionsControl Systems, and Replacement Parts and AccessoriesLimited warranty coverages described in this handbook applyto the vehicle regardless of a change in ownership, and aretransferable to subsequent owners.Hyundai Motor America reserves the right to furnish the finaldecisions in all warranty matters.The 10-year/100,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty is nottransferable and applies only to the original owner, as definedunder “Original Owner” included in the Powertrain LimitedWarranty (Original Owner) section of this Owner's Handbook.WARRANTY JURISDICTIONThese warranties apply to vehicles manufactured to UnitedStates' specifications which are distributed by Hyundai MotorAmerica and registered and normally operated in the 50United States and Washington, D.C. SECTION 4SECTION 4GENESIS NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTYOWNER’S RESPONSIBILITIESWHAT IS NOT COVERED* Proper use, maintenance and care of your vehicle inaccordance with the instructions contained in this handbookand in your Owner’s Manual.* Retention of maintenance service records. It may benecessary for you to demonstrate and prove that therequired maintenance has been performed, as specified inthe Owner’s Manual.* Delivery of the vehicle during regular service businesshours to any authorized Retailer of Genesis BrandedProducts to obtain warranty service.* Checking for trim, paint or other appearance concerns atthe time the new vehicle is delivered.* Normal maintenance services, such as cleaning & polishing,minor adjustments, lubrication, oil/fluid changes, filters, antifreeze coolant replenishment, wheel alignment and tirerotation, unless such services are performed as part of acovered warrantable repair, or unless covered by a GenesisMaintenance Program.* Normal maintenance items (#) are warranted in normalservice, only when the replacement is the result of a defectin material or factory workmanship, for 12 months from thedate of original retail delivery or date of first use, or 12,000miles, whichever occurs first, or up to the first scheduledmaintenance replacement interval. SECTION 5SECTION 5GENESIS POWERTRAIN LIMITED WARRANTY (ORIGINAL OWNER)WHAT IS COVEREDWARRANTY PERIODRepair or replacement of powertrain components listed below,originally manufactured or installed by Hyundai Motor Company,Hyundai Motor Group, or Hyundai Motor America (HMA) thatare found to be defective in material or factory workmanshipunder normal use and maintenance, except any item specificallyreferred to in the section "What is Not Covered." Towing expenseto the nearest Authorized Retailer of Genesis Branded Productsor authorized service location is covered when the vehicle isinoperable due to a warrantable defect within 5 years from thedate of original retail delivery or date of first use, or 60,000 miles,whichever occurs first. “Owner’s Responsibilities” and “ObtainingWarranty Service” are the same as specified under the GenesisNew Vehicle Limited Warranty.
