WorldTrips isexperienced in arranging emergencymedical evacuations. Atlas Group willcover eligible expenses necessary totransport you from an initial treatingfacility to the nearest hospital qualifiedto treat your life-threatening condition.We also understand the importance offamily support in these difficult situations. Atlas Group will also cover thetransportation, lodging, and meal costsfor a relative to join you after a coveredemergency medical evacuation, up tothe lifetime limit.Repatriation of RemainsWhat would your family do if disasterstrikes while you are away from home?The death of a loved one is never easy,no matter the circumstances. In theunfortunate event of your death whiletraveling abroad, Atlas Group will arrangefor and cover eligible costs associatedwith the repatriation of your remains.Return of Minor ChildrenIf you are expected to be hospitalizedfor more than 36 hours due to a coveredinjury or illness, and covered childrenunder 18 years of age will be left unattended as a result, Atlas Group will coverthe transportation cost for the childrento return home.TerrorismIn these turbulent times, the risk of aterrorist attack is a reality. If you are inthe wrong place at the wrong time, andthe country or region you’re visitingis NOT under a level 3 or level 4 traveladvisory, Atlas Group offers coveragefor eligible medical expenses resultingfrom those acts. If a natural disasteroccurs while on your trip, causing youto become displaced from your plannedand paid accommodations, Atlas Groupwill provide relief of a maxi-mum of 250a day for 5 days to help cover the costs ofalternative accommodations.Hospital IndemnityIf you are hospitalized, the world aroundyou does not stop. What’s more, in someplaces hospitals do not provide theirpatients basic necessities like meals,toothpaste or soap. If you are hospitalized as an inpatient for treatment of acovered illness or injury, Atlas Group willprovide 100 for each night you spend inthe hospital.ATLAS GROUP* QUALITYBENEFITSAcute Onset of Pre-ExistingConditionsAtlas Group provides a limitedbenefit up to the medical coveragelife-time maximum for eligible medicalexpenses. Thisalso includes up to a 25,000 lifetimemaximum for emergency medicalevac-uation.An acute onset of a pre-existing conditionis a sudden and unexpected outbreakor recurrence of a pre-existing conditionwhich occurs spontaneously and withoutadvance warning either in the form ofphysician recommendations or symptoms. Treatment must be obtained within24 hours of the sudden and unexpectedoutbreak or recurrence. This benefit includesaccess to the services of Unity CrisisGroup for advice, coordination with lawenforcement, and negotiations during akidnapping.Personal LiabilityAtlas Group offers up to 25,000 (orup to 100,000 if additional coverage isselected) to offset the following typesof court-entered eligible judgments orapproved settlements incurred by themember: Third-party injury Damage/loss of a third party’s personalproperty Damage/loss of a related third party’spersonal propertyFor individuals with U.S. as homecountry, for every three-month periodduring which the member is coveredhereunder, medical expenses incurredin the U.S. are covered up to a maximumof 15 days.For individuals with a home countryother than the U.S., for every threemonth period during which themember is covered hereunder, medicalexpenses incurred in the member’shome country are covered up to amaximum of 30 days.Any benefit accrued under a singlethree-month period does not accumulate to another period. Failure ofthe member to continue his or herinternational trip or the memberreturning to their home country for thesole purpose of obtaining treatmentfor an illness or injury that began whiletraveling shall void any home countrycoverage provided under the terms ofthis agreement.Benefit Period Medical CoverageWhile the certificate is in effect,the benefit period does not apply.Upon termination of the certificate,underwriters will pay eligible medicalexpenses, as defined herein, for up to90 days. This period begins on the firstday of diagnosis or treatment of a covered injury or illness incurred while themember was outside his or her homecountry and while the certificate was ineffect. The benefit period applies onlyto eligible medical expenses related tothe injury or illness that began whilethe certificate was in effect.EnrollmentYou may access the online quotingand purchasing system, or you maycomplete an application and mail orfax, along with your payment, to youragent or to WorldTrips.Claim FilingYou may file a claim by submitting aClaimant’s Statement and Authorizationform. This form may be found online,in Client Zone, or you may contactWorldTrips for a copy. Complete the form,attach all itemized invoices and paymentreceipts, and send them to the addressshown on the Claimant’s Statement andAuthorization form.This insurance is not subject to, and does not provide certain insurance benefits required by theUnited States’ Patient Protection and AffordableCare Act (“PPACA”). PPACA requires certain UScitizens or US residents to obtain PPACA compliant health insurance, or “minimum essentialcoverage.” PPACA also requires certain employers to offer PPACA compliant insurance coverageto their employees. Tax penalties may be imposedon U.S. residents or citizens who do not maintainminimum essential coverage, and on certainemployers who do not offer PPACA compliantinsurance coverage to their employees.
