INTERLINGUAL AND INTERCULTURALTRANSLATION STUDIES PHDPROGRAMAcademic Unit: Department of Western Languages and LiteraturesProgram Objectives: Within the framework of Interlingual and Intercultural Translation StudiesPhD program, translation is held as an independent scientific research area and in this context,the program gives opportunity to conduct scientific research in theoretical, historical, criticaland methodological fields. Research of cultural processes is carried out within the framework ofdifferent interdisciplinary perspectives such as humanities, literature, psychology, history,political science and philosophy. Prof. Dr. Lale Arslan ÖzcanGraduation Requirements:In order to graduate from this program; Students who were admitted to the PhD program with an MA degree are required;o to take at least 7 courses (21 local credits/ 240 ECTS), two of which are requiredby the department,o to take Seminar and Research Methods and Scientific Ethics courses,o to pass all courses with at least BB grade and have at least 3.0/4.0 GPA,INTERLINGUAL AND INTERCULTURAL TRANSLATION STUDIES PhD PROGRAM
