After a first experience at the University of Waterloo (Ontario), he obtained aPhD degree at the University Paris V in Pharmacological Sciences (1989). He then joined the Institute Pasteur of Paris for two-year Post-doctoral experience.He was recruited by the CEA (Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission) in 1991, where he became the Head of the Laboratory for Drug Metabolismat the CEA in 2000. This laboratory located at Saclay, south of Paris, is involved in the development of immunological methods and mass spectrometry for thediscovery of biomarkers and quantification of small molecular weight drugs and biologicals for preclinical and clinical applications. The laboratory also becamea leader in the use of mass spectrometry approaches for the detection biological weapons. In 2014, he joined the CEA Program for the development of healthtechnology.

He is aProfessor and President of Scientifi c Council of Instituto Universitário da Maia and Editor-Chief of Psiquiatria, Psicologia & Justiça.Anna RadominskaPandya University of Arkansasfor Medical Sciences, USAAnna Radominska Pandya serves as a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UAMS; and she is the Editor in Chief for DrugMetabolism Review. She received her PhD from the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland. She has published175 papers in various peer-reviewed journals, and she has received twelve R01 grants from the NIH and DoD. Her research interests include: The regulationand suppression of human UGTs and their role as anti-proliferative agents in cancer models, the interactions between UGTs and cannabinoid receptors, thedelivery of UGT genes and drugs into cancer cells using nanomaterial, and the roles of UGTs in the biotransformation of drugs including resveratrols and drugsof abuse such as marijuana and synthetic cannabinoids.Dr. Zheng received his Ph.D. from University of Arizona in Tucson. He was an assistant professor (1993-2000) and laterassociate professor (2000-2003) at Columbia University in New York city. Dr. Zheng joined Purdue University in 2003 andbecame a full professor in 2006. He has been serving as the Head of School of Sciences since 2008. Dr. Zheng has published one book, 161 peer-reviewedpapers and more than 220 meeting proceedings and abstracts. He is a Fellow of the U.S. Academy of Toxicological Sciences and a frequet reviewer for NIHstudy sections and for more than 40 research journals.Yazan AkkamYarmouk UniversityJordanYazan Akkam has completed his PhD from University of Arkansas and Post-doctoral studies on Nanotoxicity from Institute forNanosciences and Engineering, Arkansas. He is the Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Yarmouk University, Jordan.
