Serious hobbyists are welcome,too. Students in the Career and Continuing Education Program learn by doing. Classes are held in theMonmouth County Vocational School District’s fullyequipped shops and classrooms using modern tools,equipment and techniques. Shop work is supplemented by the instruction in theory and principles ofthe trade. Instructors are teachers in the MonmouthCounty Vocational School District Day Program andother highly skilled, experienced trades people. Students will be given the tools to improvetheir speaking, reading, and writing skills while theyattend the Certified Nurse Aide in a Long Term CareFacility (CNA) course. Students will develop the skillsnecessary to care competently for the predominatelygeriatric client. Upon successful completion of the90-hour course (50 hours classroom and 40 hoursclinical), students will be eligible to take the NewJersey State Nurse Aide in Long Term Care FacilityExam.
