About the UCO Accelerated Degree Pathway Program:Qualifying current UCO undergraduate students seeking an Accelerated Degree Pathway (ADP) must abide by thepolicies and procedures outlined in this packet as well as policies and procedures within the Jackson College of GraduateStudies Catalog. ADP students may take a maximum of 10 graduate credit hours (i.e. 5000-level courses) before theirundergraduate degree has been awarded. These 10 graduate credit hours taken by the ADP student must align with theapproved ADP courses as outlined on the graduate degree sheet that is associated with the approved ADP program asoutlined in the Jackson College of Graduate Studies Catalog. These 10 graduate credit hours taken will count as credit onboth the undergraduate and graduate transcripts as long as the student maintains continuous graduate enrollment andthe grades received in the courses align with graduation policies and requirements issued by the University of CentralOklahoma.Qualifications for the UCO Accelerated Degree Pathway Program: You must be an undergraduate UCO student pursuing a major that is designated and approved as part of theofficial UCO Accelerated Degree Pathway offerings; a current list of approved ADP offerings may be foundbeginning on page two of this packet.You must be classified as having a “senior” standing or must be completing the last semester of your junior year.You must have a minimum overall undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and 3.0 or higher inmajor specific coursework; the undergraduate GPA will be verified by the student’s undergraduate academicadvisor and by a representative of the Jackson College of Graduate Studies.Applying for a UCO Accelerated Degree Pathway Program:1. Complete the UCO Accelerated Degree Pathway packet, including the ADP Undergraduate Academic / StudentSuccess Advisor Form. Please secure signatures from the department chair associated with the undergraduatedegree and the graduate program advisor associated with the master’s degree. Individual departments mayhave application deadlines and request additional items to accompany the ADP packet. Additional items mayinclude transcripts, letters of recommendation, a written personal statement, writing sample, resume, etc.2. Submit the completed packet to the Jackson College of Graduate Studies with all necessary signatures.3. The Jackson College of Graduate Studies will review the ADP packet and will notify you with the approval ordenial for the Accelerated Degree Pathway. If approved, the Dean of the Jackson College of Graduate Studieswill sign the form, and you will receive instructions on your next steps of applying online.4. If approved for ADP, submit an online admissions application to the Jackson College of Graduate Studies alongwith the non-refundable application fee; you can contact the Jackson College of Graduate Studies via thecontact information below if you have questions regarding the online admissions application.5. You will be enrolled into graduate courses by a member of the graduate admissions team.
