Users can use the strength of their spreadsheets with seamless dynamic integration into their information, as well as powerful detail capabilities to the lowest level of detail. This allows users to create arange of reports, from simple ad hoc workbooks to complex views of critical business data dashboard type. The spreadsheet server turns off data re-pouring or downloading data into a spreadsheet and makes the spreadsheet an integral part of the application. While maintaining the full functionality of an Excelspreadsheet application, Spreadsheet Server allows the user to mix GL and non-GL data into one worksheet. The powerful spreadsheet function (chart, text formatting and sorting) and dynamic information combination provides the foundations for accurate, elegant income reporting, balancing and other criticalstatements. Spreadsheet Server Components A spreadsheet server application consists of four components: the Excel add-in for financial reporting across all ERP platforms - spreadsheet server formulas used in Excel allow users to create reports using familiar business and accounting terms rather than technicalspecifications. Query Designer - a user-friendly tool that allows users to create and maintain queries on any relational database. You can combine these queries with preconfiguring formulas in a single Excel spreadsheet. Query Exchange - Online Store queries from which the user can download the selected queries to

the query designer, and then use them in Excel. Using the Query Exchange SmartPak feature is a way to group preconfiguring queries together. Distribution Manager - By eliminating time-consuming tasks for printing, copying, or creating attachments to get information only to your end users, this tool automates reportingscheduling directly in Excel. Spreadsheet Re-enticing is a powerful tool used to write data from an Excel spreadsheet to a database. Profile Scheduler – This component allows you to schedule various tasks, such as the recipient manager address book cauling, refreshing workbooks, distributing recipient managerworkbooks, and loading local database files. Spreadsheet Server Licensed Features Access to each component depends on the user-licensed features. General ledger - Access the general ledger-related formulas in the Excel Add-in. Query – Access the formulas associated with queries in the Excel add-in componentand access the query exchange. Query Designer - Access to query designer and query exchange components. Distribution Manager - Access to the recipient manager component. Backdempkey - Access to the spreadsheet backlist component. Restricted licensing – Restricts access to various spreadsheet serverfeatures (i.e. creating a template, formula assistant, segment lists, segments, list accounts, data validation, and workbook upgrades). Global Software, Inc. 10 2 1.1 Spreadsheet Server – Version 14.6 General Ledger Reporting Review General Ledger (GL) Reporting feature of Global Software, Inc.'s Spreadsheet Serverconverts familiar spreadsheet software (Excel) into a closely integrated analytical tool for financial systems. A spreadsheet server uses certain formulas to retrieve general ledger data in a spreadsheet and gives the user the ability to drill down in detail. Functions (*) Retrieve dynamic balances based on ledger-definedformats and time periods (period, quarter, start of year, etc.) Retrieve balances using single value, mask, range, value list, segment list, hierarchy value field, Drill down to Account balances Drill down to the accounts selected for journal data Drill on journal lines for the selected journal entry Drill on the detail of theselected journal drill down to the detail of the subsystem Copying and pasting data in spreadsheets or other documents (*) The available functions vary depending on the selected ledger that you're processing. Benefits Use spreadsheet skills and write reports within minutes eliminate requirement for IT or super-users tocreate/change financial statements No more downloading or re-insutiation spreadsheet data Reduce the number of days to close financial books; save only 3 hours per month per user and the investment is paid in less than 12 months Publish executive quality reports from the current spreadsheet software Increase theefficiency and timeliness of the budget process Create complete Executive Information System Create ad hoc reports or perform account analysis within minutes Save financial user time by combining reporting, account request and log request per application; Create a business analysis free time Perform corporateconsolidation with immediate access to dynamic data Reduce external audit time, making it easier, instant access to financial data with full detail options to match accounts Quickly and easily spill accounts from one, central application 11 Spreadsheet Server introduction Query/Query Designer overview As an integral partof Global Software, Inc.'s Spreadsheet Server, Query Designer allows users to create queries that are then used in Excel to ineemly retrieve critical business data and return data for use in a spreadsheet. When you use queries on a spreadsheet server, you use three components to design and maintain queries: querydesigner, visual tool. The Exchange query, the online depository of queries, is used to download the selected queries to the query designer and then use them in Excel. The Excel Add-in component allows the user to query the designer queries in a spreadsheet by returning dynamic business data. Access to eachcomponent depends on the features licensed by the user. Features and benefits Get dynamic data in enterprise databases (including Microsoft Access, DSN system databases, IBM iseries, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, and Microsoft SQL Server) Create a query using a system that provides the Import/Export Scanner tool topreconfiguring queries from various sources, including global exchange run query on fly to ensure that data is displayed as business needs to dictate simple file system storage and listing the tree query structure, Similar to Windows Explorer Use data from a spreadsheet as parameters for a query Easily create formulasin spreadsheets using the system provided in Create Template and Formula Assistant Perform dynamic calculations with a multilevel pivot to view related details Copy and paste detail data into spreadsheets for global software, Inc. 12 4 1.3 Server Spreadsheet - Version 14.6 Manager Overview As an integral part ofGlobal Software, Inc.'s Spreadsheet Server, Distribution Manager is a powerful tool used automate the distribution of documents by using, printing, or file archive. Distributing spreadsheets can be a very time-consuming and laborious task. Consider the following issues: there are many worksheets in the workbook, butyou only need to distribute them. The workbook contains external references to other workbooks that are required to calculate the correct numbers, but you do not need to split the linked sheets. Split worksheets contain formulas that are derived from a specific Excel add-in (such as a spreadsheet server) or a specificExcel macro. Recipients do not have an add-on or macro installed on your computer. Workbooks must be encrypted to allow/ unauthorised opening of or change content. Hours are spent organizing, summarizing, calculating, copying, and pasting worksheets for each reporting cycle. Distribution Manager takes intoaccount each of the above problems and provides users with a simple and time-saving solution. Recipient Manager divides controls mounted directly into workbooks. The number of distribution records is limited by only the number of rows in a spreadsheet. After you create distribution lines, users can visually see andmanage who receives what they receive from a single worksheet. 13 Spreadsheet Server Introduction Spreadsheet Writeback Overview As an integral part of Global Software, Inc.'s suite of data analytical solutions, Spreadsheet Writeback is a powerful tool used to write data from an Excel spreadsheet to a database. Thespreadsheet backkey provides an interface so that data that you burn to worksheets can be returned to the database table. Currently, data can be written back to any generic table that the user has write permissions to, or to an Oracle database using oracle's public API. General table backwards: During the initial setupprocess, the database in which you write data is identified. This database connection is assigned to each worksheet, so you can assign a different database to each worksheet in the workbook. After you define a database connection, the user selects a table to write data to and identifies the columns in the table topopulate the data from the spreadsheet. The back-to-back definition has a header row that defines the table name and table fields, as well as two columns to contain the date and status of the last backd up. A worksheet can contain one or more back-swallowing definitions. After you define a return definition, the data youwant to write to the database is entered into the spreadsheet. The number of re-rows is limited by only the number of rows in a spreadsheet. Text in SWB> means that the row must be written back. After you enter the data in a spreadsheet, you can run the backwarding. When you run writebacks, the user can run aseparate backresp after which the following back writebacks, all back writebacks on the selected worksheet, or all writebacks on the entire workbook. Additionally, the user can type all rows of data in the database or only the selected rows of data. Oracle API Writebacks: When writing back oracle using Oracle API, theprocess is for the general table, but with different differences. Some of the differences include assigning a database connection to a separate write-back program instead of a page and using text swbapi > to represent a write-back queue. Global Software, Inc. 14 6-1.5 Spreadsheet Server – Version 14.6 ProfileScheduler Overview Profile Scheduler component of Spreadsheet Server allows scheduling various jobs, such as caching distribution manager address books, refreshing workbooks, distributing Distribution Manager workbooks, and loading local database files. Available profile types: Address Book Cache – Cachesaddress book lists used in Recipient Manager to reduce the time it took to load the address book. Distribution Manager - Refreshes the selected workbooks with the specified replace values and/or distributes the selected recipient manager workbooks. NOTE: Scheduling Distribution Manager with Profile Scheduler andOffice 365 is currently not supported. Custom Table Loading – Downloads table and table data from the source database to the destination database, which allows you to optimize the calculation speed. Load Local Database Files – downloads account balance information to local databases, allowing you to optimize thecalculation speed. This is a great opportunity to produce Spreadsheet Server reports when books are closed and analytical tasks are performed in real time. The time spent loading local databases is greatly offset by a significantly reduced spreadsheet calculation time. Because the Profile Scheduler is working withMicrosoft Windows Task Scheduler, see the following diagram to get the necessary user rights: The profile type that creates and manually runs job scheduling, job scheduling, which runs a scheduled job, While you are logged on to a scheduled job execution while you are logged on to -OR, you log on and run the job onanother account that is not logged on to the address book cache, there is no specific custom table load requirement, or Load local No Special Requirements Distribution Manager Administrator Privileges No Applicable No Special Requirements Note: To verify that the user is part of the Administrator group, from the top ofthe table go to Control Panel>Administration Tools>Computer Management. In the Computer Management panel of the tree view, go to Local Users and Groups>Groups. Select Admin and view the properties. Verify that the user is in a group or, if necessary, add the user to the group. Mapped disks that are usedin any part of the profile planner process, including distribution manager (that is, file save folder) or spreadsheet server (that is, file locations), must be defined on the Mapped Disks tab when you run and schedule a job for specific profile types. 15 Installation and registration 2 Installation and registration 2.1 Components7 REQUIRED COMPONENTS Application Configurator Single Application Configurator installation installation The server must be filled in by an administrator, and each user must be created and assigned a valid license key in the configurator before using the spreadsheet server.
