We want to help ourmembers with mental healthand substance use challenges.AliveRVA and MHAVA offer“warm lines.” They are run bypeer support specialists. Warmlines are non-crisis phone lines.You can call to talk with apeer support specialist whohas real-life experience withmental health, substance use,4and trauma. Peer supportspecialists are people in long term recovery. They providea listening ear in a safe andsupportive environment. Thewarm lines can also provideyou with community resources.These include housing, food,and transportation.The AliveRVA warm line is freeto use. They have substanceuse support. They are availableto all Virginia residents.Callers will speak with a peerin long-term recovery fromaddiction. AliveRVA staff canprovide health care resourcesand services.
