NE W SFocus on "NEW" Yellow Barn InstructorsKEVIN BERLINKevin Berlin is an international artist best known for painting,sculpture, and performance. Berlin currently lives inSouthampton, New York and Florence, Italy. Berlin, a YaleUniversity Alumnus, studied at the Slade School of FineArt and has appeared in The New York Times Magazine,Shanghai Daily, The Miami Herald, USA Today, MTV, TokyoTelevision, BBC Radio, and over 40 televisionstations. His works are found in collections including KimBasinger, Luciano Pavarotti, Buzz Aldrin, Quincy Jones, Billand Hillary Clinton, President George W. Bush, HRHPrincesse Antonella de Orleans-Bourbon, and GeneralMotors. Berlin was honored by President Reagan at TheWhite House as a YoungArts Presidential Scholar in1983. Recent solo exhibitions include Miami, New York, andLondon. Kevin will teach still life and portrait classes.CRAIG AMARALA ‘self taught’ professional oil painter for over two decades, Craig Amaral has taughtbeginning, intermediate, and advanced painters, privately and commercially, for over adecade. He is an award-winning published artist, including online media such as StreamlinePublishing’s Salon competition. He is a member of the plein air painting community, paintswith local art society’s like MAPAPA and WSLP paint outs, and participates in the MFA PaintAnnapolis and the Solomon Island Plein Air Festivals. He holds an Associate of Arts fromMontgomery College in Architectural Technology; majored in undergraduate art at UMD;studied at the Schuler School of Fine Art; pursued years of Yellow Barn Studio, ChesapeakeFine Art Studio, and Maryland Hall classes and workshops both here and abroad.Craig will teach a class on how to use painting materials and an on line figure withmodel live on Friday nights.MARGARET LASHLEYAn artist since early childhood, Margaret Lashleyenjoys creating art with an eye for accuracy and a feelfor the essence of her subject. She loves to spendtime immersed in nature, but also enjoys traveling tolocations such as Paris, Italy, Japan, and Thailand tostudy art, museums, and architecture.
