What is Workday? Workday is a cloud-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) businesssystem that supports human resources, payroll and financialfunctions, and will replace what we know today as “Oracle” (inaddition to some other systems) About Workdayo Workday is the name of the company, and the product that they sello Founded in 2005 by former PeopleSoft leaders (Dave Duffield, founderand CEO and Aneel Bhusri, chief strategist)o Quickly became top rated vendor of human resource systems (perForrester Research)o Has 450 global clients, including an established and growing base inhigher education (examples include Brown, Cornell, NYU, Georgetown,Univ of Rochester, Syracuse)2
