Principal PointsDear Roadrunner Family:Our Roadrunners have been working hard and adjusting to the structure of school. With this said, they have done afantastic job adhering to the new procedures now in place to help keep everyone safe. Learning is happening here, andour teachers are making it happen. Progress reports are here, and we encourage you and your family to look over theinformation carefully. Learning is hard work and it will take all of us working together to help our studentssucceed. Parent/Teacher conferences are also highly encouraged and easy to set up either face to face orvirtually. Either call or email your child’s teacher to set this up.We are a Title 1 school and with this comes extra funding to support learning. We have many supports to assist studentswith learning that include intervention/enrichment teachers, as well as support facilitation teachers. Their intent is toprovide support for students as they are learning. We also are afforded Coaches that in turn support our teachers withinstruction. Through all this support our Roadrunners will learn and thrive. Your support at home is critical to thissuccess and working together will ensure this success.Recently our Teacher of the Year for 2021-2022 was selected. Please help me congratulate Mrs. Lopez, our ESOL teacheron this much deserved recognition. She will represent Orange City Elementary and possibly the district when thewinner is announced in January 2021.Finally, with all the new procedures in place due to the current pandemic, Orange City Elementary is still a place wherelearning is at the forefront. We are proud of our Roadrunners and the work they are doing each day.Thank you for your continued support.Sincerely,Charles D. BynumPrincipal
