Begin stenciling using acircular clockwise/counter-clockwise motion until theentire design area has been stenciled. (photo 2) Lift toreveal the design. (photo 3) To complete the stencileddrawer front design, reposition the stencil to the right ofthe center stenciled design, align the stencil, tape inplace, then stencil. Repeat for the left side of the drawerfront. Then complete for each of the drawer fronts untilall have been stenciled. Allow to dry 24 hours.9. To seal and protect the dresser, apply an even coat ofWaverly Inspirations Clear Wax using the Wax Brush;allow to dry overnight. Using a soft, lint-free cottoncloth, buff to desired sheen.10. Replace drawer hardware. Allow seven days for curingbefore using heavily.TIPS & TRICKS When stenciling, it is always best to use the drybrush technique referring to a stencil brush thathas been loaded with paint and then offloaded sothe brush bristles are almost dry. Stenciling with a“too-wet” brush can create paint smudges underthe stencil design. Although Waverly Inspirations Chalk dries to thetouch fairly quickly on the project surface, it isalways important to allow thorough dry timesallowing all moisture to evaporate. Try something new, create a time worn stenciledlook.
