WEAR RESISTANCEIn operating conditions where the lubricationfilm is not sufficient, moving parts couldbriefly make contact. Anti-wear additivesform a protective layer on such moving partsand prevent them from getting damaged.OXIDATION RESISTANCEWhen exposed to oxygen, high temperatures,water or dust, the oil will oxidize, creatingoxidation products, acids and deposits thatwill decrease the oil life and may causedamage and undermine the compressor’sperformance.SEPARATING WATERDuring the compressor’s use in variousapplications it can cause vaporization ofwater depending on the relative humidity andthe ambient temperature.
