We are movingahead with great strides as we rely on our (GPS) model”Going Places Successfully”. We have just finished our first quarterand I amapproaching my one year anniversary with our organization. ”Yeah”!!!It has beenquite a year of learning and observing the needs of our community, meeting new andold partners and cultivating our students. I have a wonderful team of peoplewho remainpassionate and committed to the mission of Every Woman Works (EWW).As I collected the honey pots and explored the bee hives of our community and spoke to many of you, I began toinitiate a strategic plan. We are moving to build a vocational extension to our program as well as a retention plan tohelp the students maintain their employment status beyond 90 days and 1 year. We are shopping for two morelocations in Metro Atlanta to help reach our goal of serving 200 women in 2018. We continue to sharpen our tools “asiron sharpens iron” to be the best Work Development program in the area. My IT background aided in ourupdating our offices to be more technologically leading edge. New computers are on the way! We are moving ahead, ittakes time, but all is also in God’s time. We have wonderful spiritual support from our community.I realize the importance of partnerships. For every organization serves some portion of the continuum of care tomake our people and community stronger. I appreciate all of the work that each of you are dedicated to and Iwelcome an opportunity to have EWW do its part on the continuum of care spectrum. Thank you for all of yourgracious help and support for me as I joined the community and EWW. I received a warm embrace even though Ms.Tillie’s shoes are really big on my feet. We continue to teach a woman to fish so she can move out and feed a nation.Onward to building a prosperous year for many using our GPS!BEES—Busy Educating and Empowering Students
