The Old parish hall is the perfect space for couples lookingto put their own stamp on their wedding venue and let their personal styleshine through.We are not a package deal kind of place. We can offer you the flexibilityto cherry pick your wedding suppliers so you can create your perfectcelebration. If you need help planning or executing your event then we alsohave a curated list of recommended suppliers and wedding professionals.Our venue is a space for community, wellness and celebration. THE MAIN HALLTHE GROUND FLOOROUTDOOR SPACEThis space really has the wow factor!A huge 220 sq meter light filled hall, with anoriginal vaulted ceiling beautifully married withmodern interior finishes.This room is a great space for the heart of yourcelebration, where your guests can cometogether for dinner, drinks and dancing.The entrance hall is an open, versatile spacewith a beautiful parquet flooring, a stage andbespoke interior features. This room is theperfect space for your welcome reception andpost ceremony drinks or would even make agreat chill out area for guests to relax away fromthe party upstairs. The room has access to theprofessional kitchens where your caterers canprepare your wedding feast.This small but cosy space gives youan off-street outdoor area for your guests toescape the party for some fresh air. FAQsCan you host wedding ceremonies?Yes! The main hall, the downstairs reception roomand the long room are all licensed by HackneyCouncil for civil ceremonies.What time does music have to finish?Currently at 11pm, although we are in the processof appying for a license to allow a midnight finish.Do you charge corkage?No! We are a dry hire venue and encourage ourcouples to buy in their own booze or hire a bar tosupply their event.Are you able to supplytables and chairs?We have 5’6ft round tables and white foldingchairs to cater for receptions of 150 people or lesswhich can be hired at an additional charge of 2pp. If you are looking for something a littledifferent you are free to hire your own furniture.
Do you have any outside space?We have a 20m x 2.5m outdoor courtyard.Can we access the venue prior to thewedding to arrange set up for the day?Hire of the Old Parish Hall includes access from8am until midnight. If you require additionalaccess the night before this needs to be prearranged with us and is subject to an additionalcharge per hour.When do we need to havethe venue cleared by?Ideally we require the venue to be cleared at theend of the hire period, as there may be anotherevent the following day. If this is not possibleplease contact us to find out if we can arrangestorage of your items.Do you require a depositto secure bookings?If you do decide to go ahead and formally book thespace, we go through a hire agreement at whichpoint we charge a 50% deposit to secure thebooking. The balance is then due 28 days prior toyour event.Can we bring inour own caterers?Yes! We have a large commercial kitchenand serving space which can be utilisedwith either one of our recommendedcatering suppliers or a caterer of yourchoice.Are we able to use candlesin the event space?We allow use of open flame candles in theevent space only within suitablecontainers.Is there on site parking?No we do not have any on site parkinghowever there is space out front forloading and unloading.Can we fix decorationsto the walls?Only if it does not leave a visible trace onthe walls. No pins, tacks, staples,cellotape, duct tape or similar adhesivetapes can be used.
